...omg...it was so cold this afternoon (55°F) that I had to put on socks and a jacket to go out on the back patio to smoke my cigar...it was so bad that the temp in the house dropped to 67°F and I had to turn on the heat to get it back to a comfortable 70°F...you guys up north have got to stop sending those of us in Florida these miserable cold waves...where's my nice balmy Florida weather when I want it? :ss

I just saw that the actual high for STL on Friday is 10. Temperatures should have at least 2 syllables.
I gave my wife the begging look and she said I could smoke in the basement as long as I cracked the windows.:ss

Ugh, you Florida guys can keep your 55 degree days. I'll take my occasional 5 degree days if I don't have to deal with 90 degree/99% humidity.

Just got back from one of those guided jet ski tours, a little chilly to say the least! Actually I find 55* and sunny a pretty nice day, just not on a jet ski.

Well, going down to 33 tonight in South Florida, 20's north of us.
So much for that "global warming" stuff as the entire country is in a deep freeze and record low temperatures.

We got to 76 yesterday and it is only getting up to 72 today. :D Have I ever posted this web cam? Catalina Island (http://www.visitcatalinaisland.com/avalon/webcam.php)
On another note, we did have an earthquake 100 miles away about a week ago, but it was only a 5.8.......

It's a balmy -2 here right now. When I left for the gym this morning, it was -13. If you don't dry your hair before you step outside, it freezedries! I LOVED those 50s and 60s in Fl over the Christmas break!!!

I didn't know houses in Florida even had heaters.
The experts have decided to call all this cold weather proof of global warming, doncha know.

Yeah, their theory is sinking.
This winter is being predicted to be similar to that of the 70's.

Damn...was like 60°F today and supposed to drop to 36°F tonight...how the hell am I supposed to be able to go out and smoke a cigar tonight? I've had to have the heater on for the last two days trying to keep the house temp at 70°F...there's a frickin' freeze warning in effect...there go my Florida oranges...this is supposed to be tropical weather...it's Florida...did one of you northern asylum inmates come down here and bring this chit with you?

Don't know what forecast you are watching but I would reduce that low tonight three more notches.
We will be below 33 tonight my friend.

Power outages reported in Florida because so many people are using space heaters! I would think the grid was built to handle all the AC and could power heaters without much trouble.

Damn...we lost power here for close to 24 hours and the outside temp dropped to 36F and the house went down to 57F...we were freezin' our butts off and under 4 blankets apiece...damn Florida Power & Light...we're on one of the oldest grids in the neighborhood and instead of replacing it they just keep patching it while they keep raising the rates...sob's...
