thats quite impressive for sure and I salute you.... I just won't do it, which makes me hate winter temps. Can't VA just have 2 weeks of winter and then straight into spring?

It was actually fairly warm:) Yeah there was some windchill with slight gusts driving the temp down but over all better than you think it would be!
Plus I built a fire!!!

That is pretty bad, but my attempt this past week was pretty desperate. I bundled up like I was going to go skiing and braved the negative four degree weather whilst snowing to smoke on new years!

23 degrees??? Good Lord, I'm surprised the flames didn't freeze. :D

It's 54 here - about 50 less than I prefer it.

I had an LFD Chisel today at 26* with flurries and high wind gusts while cleaning up my back yard a bit . Lit my grill in my garage/shed for short warm up breaks . Got to do what I got to do . :ss

The mittens were Thinsulate, the warmest thing I had on hand so to speak....you just have to hold the cigar between your thumb and hand. It worked:)

Good going but the wind chill is always the killer.. 20 below this moring.. I have two big buddy heaters in the garage and a twin window exhaust fan and enjoyed a Players Club belicoso while listening to the Vikings crush the Giants,, also consumed a beer and three brandy cokes.......

I considered this option, I have one of those big clay Chimneas (Fire Pot). Not sure if it would put off enough heat, short of me having flames rolling out the top, for me to sit outside though.

I was up in Lake Tahoe over xmas weekend and would step outside for an hour or two and have a smoke. After awhile you just get used to the cold.

You all have inspired me to go try one of the Gurkahs my wife got me for Christmas. I don't expect much but I will give them a try I have five.

Getting cold here in MI as well. Around 20*. Moved into the garage with a propane heater & I fabricated a little top hat for it like those large patio heaters. Keeps me warm enough.

Definatly digging the fire ball you got there makes me want to go get one, hell if it gets too bad out there and you need a smoke my upstairs is open!
