Hey guys,

Just curious what the most popular size is with my BOTL...

I used to buy almost all Churchill size sticks but have found out lately that I am really leaning towards the Robustos for the size of choice.

Might be due to the fact that I can't seem to find the time to really enjoy a Churchill anymore. The last one I had, I rushed through it (on an empty stomach even) and came to realize that you CAN NOT rush a Cohiba Esplendido!

My favorite Robustos so far have been the Cohiba, Brickhouse (really liked this new stick), H. Upmann Chairman's Reserve.

What say you all!

Cheers
Mark

Robustos and toros, mostly. I buy a lot of smokes on cbid, so I'm fine with most vitolas except the real small RGs.

Churchills if I have the time. I like torbedos/belicosos as well though. Actually if its a good smoke I don't care what it is!

kind of in order
Lancero, Belicoso, Robusto, PC, Toro, Torp. I do enjoy the smaller ring gauges because of the added flavor of the wrapper

Robustos all the way. I have enjoyed some Toros as well but anything bigger than that is too long a smoke for me. 5.5" X 52 is about ideal for me.

:tpd:
At a time, I almost exclusively smoked robustos and toros.
Now I just try to find whatever size I like in the particular blend.
I wish all cigars were box pressed, too. Dunno why. I think it's cause they're easier to hang on to with my teeth. More comfortable.
Little ones, like 49 ring and down, it doesn't really matter. I don't even know if there's a box press in that small of a ring?

NC's - Robusto is what I enjoy
CC's - Corona or smaller. Love the small RG CC's

You could order Chinese, use them as chopsticks, then smoke them after the meal. No dishes! :r

CC's got me to appreciate the smaller ring cigars. Before that I used to only buy 48 and up, since these were the most popular at the time and the majority of what the B&Ms carried.

Lately though, I've been reaching for something a little bigger, like a corona gorda or pyramind. I only smoke on weekends now and usually I want a cigar that will burn for at least 1.5 hrs+ My next CC box purchase will probably be something closer to 44-46.

I still don't ever go over 50. (although I did manage to find an Opus shark this year :D)

I go thru phases. Torpedos, Robustos, Belicosos, CGs. Right now I have to say it's PCs. I think the next stop is going to be something long and skinny.

Corona and Petite Coronas are what I probably smoke the most. Followed by robustos. I also really like the petite perfectos like AF Short Stories.

On the golf course or working in the yard I'll chomp on a Churchill.

haha if you hadn't posted that, I was going to. I remember seeing someone post a review of one on another board somewhere. I believe it took him over 4 hours to finish, or maybe he just gave up. I can't recall.

I pretty much always go for something under 44 RG, Lancero's/PLs/Coronas. Robusto's are my 2nd choice since lots of NCs don't have smaller RG sizes anymore.

Toro is my favorite followed by coronas . I smoke all sizes depending on time alotment . I generally have a hard time with the long skinny vitolas , it's a patience thing and if the draw is a bit tight I just put it back now . Ruined to many trying to make them smoke . :2

+1. When doing a long afternoon of yard work, a Churchill is the best. For a short smoke on a winter afternoon, its a Toro or Rothchild to be sure.
