Man this sure is a tough poll! I picked the Padron 64 (Natural) but only because the one I had had 6 years on it and it was the best dam smoke I've ever had.

These are high end? :)

I would go with the Padron 64 everytime, unless the Opus has more then 6 years age...then it would be a tossup...

I am SHOCKED that opus x is in last place here. I have had some great sticks from each of these brands, but the best cigars I have ever had include opus and not really any of the others....

Agreed! Although I'm not shocked. The Opus X are way overpriced. I still voted for them because they kinda grow on you. Whereas the Padrons ani's have gotten less interesting over time. The most recent 26 I had will probably be the last I ever buy. The 64 naturals are pretty damn good but if I had to choose, I would still go with the Opus. Luckily I don't have to choose! I love them both!

Opus for me. I'm an Anejo fan, but an aged Opus is a rare treat! I have never been a fan of most Padrons. YMMV

Gotta go with Opus also. I have not had any with more than 2 years on them. I am waiting patiently for the ones in my humi to age.

Had to go with the Anejo. Guess I have not found that right Opus yet but the ones I have had are good but not equal to the price I have found them for. I love a good Padron but then again I can get those whenever I would like. The Anejos seem to be the sticks I can never find so when I do get them I let them nap and then enjoy one or two the next time I find them.

Padron 64 Maduro for me. The 1926 is a fine fine cigar, but I prefer the 64. Never had a good Opus X and never even seen an Anejo in person.

64s, 26s, and Anejos are all excellent, but I think I'd put the 64s on top.

Too many Opus X have been burned that simply didn't satisfy me - I am saying that if costs were equal to other sticks in my humidor, many would be picked before an Opus.

Of course, I willing to be proven wrong.

I do have a few that have been aging for a while. I am hoping that time will improve them, but till then, I haven't smoke a 6 year old Opus to say definitively that they are that much better.

Padron 64 Nat or Mad For me, The best and most consistant out of the group. The simple part for me is Nicaraguan Tobacco for complexity, taste, and overall enjoyment is as close to Cuban leaf as it gets to me. Taste is of course subjective and there are certainly wiser men and women than I on this earth. I just know and enjoy what I like.

Despite all this and having met Carlos, Carlito, and Jorge I have to say, to me Rocky is the nicest and will always have a special place in my heart. I love/like and enjoy all of them and their work.

I have a handful of the 64s and 26s, but I will probably use most of them for trades except the 64 naturals. Those will definitely get smoked! :ss

and yeah, the msrp on the Opus aren't too bad, but whenever I see them for sale they are marked up into silly territory. My neighborhood B&M has a box that look to be about 5X38s and they are selling for $25 each. lol

still, if price is not a factor, my vote goes for the Opus.

I would be curious to see if people would prefer the Padron Anny Series in either natural or maduro. Both seem to have an avid following but I wonder which would win.

Anejo for the simple reason, I havent had one in SOO long i cannot remember how good they are haha. Impossible to find in my area, but the ons i have had I did enjoy 100X more than an opus to say the least

Hard to go wrong with the Anejo, so it got my vote. No aging, never an issue. I'll take a 46 just about any day.

But, they are ALL good.

I'd be curious to know if the 64's are willing out over the 26's based on the fact that less 26's have been smoked because of the pricing alone? I'm a big fan of the 64's...but the larger ring gauge 26's maddy's are unbelievable.

wow, what a tough decision. I'd go anejo first, then opus X, the maduro anni 26th are fantastic, but very expensive. But the red hammer maduro beats them all, but i dont like paying there price tag. So a shark for 15 is A ok for me.

Just a point...

This poll wants us to determine if 2 limited release smokes from Fuente
are better than 2 regular release smokes from Padron.

Most people have more experience with the Padrons, simply because
they are available throughout the entire year.

I usually only get a handful of OpusX, and even fewer Anejos, each year.
So, it's difficult to have a favorite OpusX or Anejo. I smoke what I can get.

padron 64 for me. I've only smoked a few 26's and didn'y really notice much difference from the 64. I tried anjeo for the 1st time 2 days ago and loved it I smoked an Opus last night and was dissapointed again. I had to relight it 50 plus times. I'm going to try the perfection X and if Idon't like that I'm done with Opus.

Opus don't have the leaf meant to keep the cigar burning. Carlito couldn't get the taste he wanted for the cigar with the leaf included, so it's left out. Which equates to needing to keep at the cigar to keep it burning, or constant relighting.

We'll if I pay $16.00 for a stick I expect a good even burn. These sticks should be in the $7.00 to $9.00 range. Relighting that many times has to affect the taste as well. Carlito still has alot work to do with that wrapper IMHO.

I voted for the Opus mostly because I have only had 1 Anejo which was good but plugged so I didn't get a great experience from it. The Padron's... well lets just say I haven't cared for them as much as others have and leave it at that.

The couple of Opus I have had have realy given me a great taste experience. :dr
