Got tree? At the lot? On the car? In the house? Decorated? Tree story? Smoking under the tree? Tree smoking? Whatever. It's all about tree.

For the factory floor. Food Lion, $23.99 (Spring Hope, NC) - 9-feet 10-inches before bottom trim.

Tree always goes up the day after Thanksgiving..... I start with Bloody Mary's and see what I can accomplish. Though I could post last years....because it comes out of a box bought at Costco and the ornaments never change. I am A BIG FAN of Rudolph and the Island of Misfit Toys..... Train, ornaments, action figures....:)

Friday evening....maybe Saturday, I will post away....

Christmas Tree Siphon.

Cost: not much

1-gallon jug
rubber stopper with two holes
8-feet approx of flexible clear vinyl tubing
2 lead sinkers
any old funnel

Mark the jug with a MAX line equal in height off the floor to the MAX water level in the treestand. Weight each end of a long tube (long enough to reach from the treestand to several feet away from the treeskirt, say) and sink one end in the stand and the other (thru the stopper) in the jug. Add water into the jug up to the MAX line (or more on the initial fill only). Stop the jug and blow into the air tube, forcing water to the treestand. When siphoning begins you're done.

Use a funnel to keep the water level in the jug at/near the MAX line. No more bending under trees; no more reaching thru branches to a funnel; no more sticking your finger in the treestand to see how much water it needs.

Nice Tree! Good to see you can still raise your arm above your head there Dan-o;)Thank you for the keen observation. How do you like that siphon-science?!

Sadly, that's not me, Rico; I took the picture. Glad to know you can still see well enough to type though. :D

My wife and I always go out for the tree n earlier than a week before Christmas. The last few years we've poached our trees and will probably do the same again this year. By poaching I mean that we are technically cutting inside City limits, which is technically against the law. But the City limits extend out a ways and there are LOTS of trees.

We always get a nice Balsam Fir and keep it up for a couple of weeks. I love the fresh tree smell in the house.:tu

Thanks for the watering idea. I may try it out.

That is a gorgeous tree and smok'n good buy too. Want get mine up more than a week before Chrismas. Process has been the same for years though: Get it purchased then home and in the stand. Bring in the house then take a seat in the recliner, pour egg nog and drink steady (refilling as needed) while watching wife and son get it decorated.
Tell them it looks great then catch hell for not helping then go to bed.:banger

This will be our first christmas together with a tree in our home :) (usually stay at the parents house, but this will be our first christmas as a married couple)

Won't be picking one up for a few weeks, but when we do, I'm sure it'll be photo'd to death.

Nice looking tree.

I'm a couple of weeks off from even thinking about putting one up. Haven't done one in ages because we were always out of town. This is the year I get back into it. Actually, I'm kinda of looking forward to it. Wonder how it would look if I decorated it with cigars? ;)

EXACTLY the same thing here. I want to get a tree but have never bought one before and not sure what I'm looking for. But when I get one up I'll make sure I post it

Mine went up the other day in the room I have never sat in, in the front of the house. I was gonna put up the outside lights but it was raining today and I didn't want to bust my arse.

Can't take any credit as all I did was bring the stuff down from the attic and let the girls do their stuff.

Great rig, wouldn't expect anything less from you....maybe I'll try it.It's a sweet little machine for under $3.00. Low cost, high return. Two thumbs up (unless you have an artificial tree which sort of takes away some of the magic).

The Polar Express. Have all the cars (unless they made a new one this year) although they all won't fit on the track. Love this train -
