OK, those of you who have had Kristoff cigars, which is your favorite line? And why?

Criollo, Maduro, Ligero?

Thanks for the assist.

Never had any but I'm curious. I always give them a good looking at before choosing something else...

I haven't had either of the Ligero blends, and I believe they have a Sumatra now as well. The maddie and criollo are both very tasty.

We just got them in at my shop. My boss was very unimpressed, so I skipped them. Worth trying?

Not really to be honest. I had all 3 Kristoffs and was not super pleased with any of them. The guy that makes them also makes a cigar called, Vengence. That cigar imo is better than the Kristoff line. But everyone is different, you should try it for yourself.

I bought a box at a Kristoff event and had them give me half criollo and half maduro, they are both fantastic smokes, however, they are not the most consistent (construction wise) I have had many that were hard to draw :(

I like the Sumatra. I know some folks have had problems with the maduros and criollos canoeing on them all the time. They're a fussy cigar at times. I met the owner, Glen Case, he's a real nice guy. I'm going to see him again December 7th. Other than the Vengeance, he is also bringing on a new line called Brittania.

yes, Glen is a great guy. There were 2 tastings locally about 6 months apart and he remembered my name and what I bought at the first one which impressed the hell out of me

I haven't had a draw issue yet. Sometimes the burn will get off to an uneven start, I think due to the shaggy foot. They burn fine for me after a touch-up. I've been storing mine at 65%, but the first one I ever smoked was fresh out of the walk-in at a herf. I've been experimenting with 60% in my desktop for the last few weeks with great results, but I haven't smoked a Kristoff in a while. I'll have to fire one up and see how it burns.

Had the ligero maduro. Virtually unsmokeable due to the draw, but the flavors sucked and didn't make me want to try another.

at least I am not the only one with the draw problems, it sucks because the ones that draw well are really good smokes

Yep. At the time, I'd only been smoking cigars for about 3 months, so I asked Ryan (MedicCook) to recommend something. I liked it so much I bouight another one on my way out, and they're still my favorite stick.

:tpd: In fact thats been my experience with all of them save the Sumatra. The few Sumatras I tried drew fine but tasted terrible. The maduros and ligeros were the worst offenders, bad draws, bad flavor (the ligero had me asking where the ligero was!), and in the case of the maduros horrific burns. I personally think these are bad cigars, i'd steer clear.
