View Full Version : Explanation for my absence.

Over the past few months I have not been as active as I once was. I am a college student and I was replacing my personal life with this forum. I was what you could call obsessed. Every night I would play poker and stay up in excess of 3AM having class at 8AM and my loved ones around me were replaced with my friends on here. I was up all night and slept most of the day, late for classes, eating horribly (gained 30 lbs), and I was having a great time. Unfortunately I had the realization that "real" life must come first. I love this forum and all the members (nohomo) but it is a fact that everyone around me saw me slipping further and further away from "reality".

Since then I have turned my habits around. I get enough sleep and wake up early. At first I could not believe how long days really were :r. I have lost the weight and reconnected with my family, friends, and Girlfriend. Now I am at the point where I am able to balance my "two lives" and hopefully will be more active again.

The reason for this post is I have neglected responsibilities that I took on before getting things under control. To those of you who have been more than patient with me Thank You. I have missed this place and I hope my transgressions can be let go.;s

Along with the reasons stated above I have had reoccurring medical issues rear their ugly heads and are giving me all kinds of grief.

Thank you for caring.
Mark

I was wondering what happened to the "blind thread contest."

Either way, glad you are back on here Mark. Sometimes in life we tend to stray off course, some people never get back on track and some people do. I'm glad to see that you have got back on the right track. I hope all is well and best wishes.

Glad to see you back on track bro. I know this place can be addicting, as well as anything cigar related. I too had to take a small step back recently, as my wife was complaining of my "obsession" to my cigar friends and that I wasn't spending enough time with her. She was right, but things are good, and its good to have ya!

Glad you're back, but my question is simple.

While you were away from CA, did you smoke any good sticks?
