i play TOO much of this on xbox. what games you all play? i mainly play hardcore deathmatch, i cant stand regular.

I've just been playing mercenary death match. I'll play just about anything though. I used to enjoy hardcore on one of the COD's but haven't tried it on MW2. I'll add you later on tonight probably.

I think it looks like we can go ahead with the INM8 clan tag for whoever wants to use it.

I play with the tag (cgar).
the team stuff sucks for me to play because I am color blind, to an extent, and the fractions of a second it takes to IFF makes me SUCK. it would be nice to have a black/white patch for ID.
That is why I mainly play Free-for-All. If it moves.. it dies.

I haven't played hardcore on MW2 yet. I wouldn't mind though. The only problem I find with it is all of the creeping around. That one guy camping tends to ruin it for me sometimes. If everyone camped then no one could get shot.

I am a 'camper', but then again I am usually near the top of the board. In my opinion, the game is more fun when you aren't dying. Its a strategy game, similar to real war, the object is to not get shot. So running around and getting shot in the face is easy. If you want me to go 20 Kills and 25 deaths everytime I can do that, no problem. :2:tu

I here ya and I realize this. Like I said though, if no one moves then no one wins.:td Real wars can last weeks or even years. A COD match is only up to like 20 minutes.

Camping sucks, but it's been part of COD for as long as I can remember. I remember complaining about it when I played the first COD on my pc way back when. Personally I don't like it, as you say it makes games boring when everyone is just sitting around waiting for someone on the other team to lose patience. Thankfully though, MW2 gave us a new re tardily stupid weapon for us camper haters. The riot shield is an absolute blast when playing hard core mode. As long as the lag isn't too bad, that one bash kill can be quite fun. I've gotten my fair share of hate mail on live for using it :r:tu

Good to know. I've loved the riot shield just for sh1ts and giggles! It may come in handy in HC now.

I tend to either snipe or creep. I don't run and gun. Why? Because my old man reflexes just can't do it anymore. If I could sprint around and still have a K/D over 1 then I would be all over it.

Creeping is fine, it's still movement. Sniping is fine in regular modes when there are one or two snipers on a team. But when it's one shot to kill and everyone is sitting in a corner it gets rather tedious.

Are we gonna play soon by the way? I can play any time between tonight and saturday. No Sundays for me though. I promised those to my daughter.;)

The riot shield is my favorite thing for people to come at me with. So easy to kill a stupid riot shielder if you have any type of aim. Thumpers can take care of the people who are 'so good with the riot shield'. :tu

My friends and I have no problem with people who run around, its usually having to make up for the extra 2 or 3 people who end up with 2/12 or something similar that is a problem. Played last night with two buddies and we were always on the top 5, problem is the other three random players were always the bottom 3. For Example: One game we all were 12+ kills and 7 or less deaths and we lost because the bottom three were 2-22, 3-14, 4-12. Makes it tough to win when your team has half who run around and get shot in the face. :td

It's nice to see i'm not the only riot shielder here. Most people don't play it right, with a little practice and the right mix of perks/gear you can really tear things up with it. Unless there is lag, then your boned :r

Its fun to watch people get their heads popped off while they look for you. I don't think running around just to get shot in the face is fun. Its fun to hear people complain after they lose about campers, if they win, they never complain. Odd. I like winning by 30 kills, thats fun. We were pitching a shut out one day on Terminal to 4000 points until we got a 6th added, we only won 7000 to 1600 though. Now noob tubing, thats fun. :tu

I find it more rewarding moving and dominating, sitting around is just boring to me. I could camp but to me it's just not as rewarding. To each their own though, play however you like and whatever makes it fun for you. Odds are i'll shield bash you at some point anyways :D

I love when the people try to semtex me when I am running the shield. I wait until their arm goes back and then move the side. They usually miss me and I then bash them in the face. On the rare occasion that they actually get it to stick, I charge them full speed so that it kills them too.

my answer to the riot shield is the RPG. i aim for a wall next to or behind the shield bearer... and have no problems taking myself with!

The problem with MW2 is, no meaningful anti-cheating system. Now it is possible for players to host a lobby to give instand prestige to players for single kills... Google "prestige hack".

I can be inconsistent...that's what bothers me. I was playing last night and had a game where I went 28 and 4, and then followed that up with a nice little 8 and 12 gem. :td :r

I've noticed that it's definitley certain maps that I just suck on...there's no other way to put it. :D

I googled it and haven't found a out how to actually do it without paying somebody. I don't like cheating. I wouldn't mind doing this though because I'd like the extra custom slots. I just don't have the time others have to prestige 10 freakin times. I don't want to get all of the titles and emblems for free though. I'd rather earn those.

I know what you mean. I can usually hold my own plus or minus a bit. There are some nights where I'm going 15 and 0 and some where I'm going 2 and 14. Most of the time it's when I'm experimenting with a new class or weapon combo but sometimes it just happens.

I completely agree that the prestige level means nothing. I've noticed that some people with 10th prestige are producing some solid negative kill ratios on a consistant basis.

I mainly use the SCAR and have that set up for different senarios. I suck as sniper, so I tend to avoid that class all together. Sometimes I'll use an SMG for maps like Favela if I'm running in and out of buildings.

I pretty much only use one class...serves most games well. I might occasionally sprinkle in some one man army for domination but most of the time it stays the same.

My troubles I mentioned earlier are obviously scratches in the disc, the game freezes in exactly the same 5 spots, I know the culprits (my kids) but how does one fix mild scratches in a Blu-ray disc?

Do you have a Game Crazy near by? They can work miracles with their little super buffing machines.

I got my PS3 back yesterday. I was constantly being made fun of by my buddies b/c I just downloaded the Resurgence Pack last night and I had no clue as to the layout of Carnival and Trailer Park. I will get it though :tu

I HATE that. I was late to the party with the new maps for COD4, and when I finally downloaded them I was the only a$$hat out there who didn't know where he was going. Lets just say I almost had to buy a new tv because my controller was close to going through the screen. :D

I did a few searches that lead me to believe they are ALL closed now.:( I really liked Game Crazy too. They had a certain flare that Game Stop doesn't have.
