Hope this thread is OK here.

I will be passing through Heathrow Airport on my way back to Canada on Saturday. Is anyone familiar with Cigar House? How are the prices? Anything I should keep an eye out for?

Any info appreciated.:tu

I passed through Heathrow on my way to a deployment with the Army 4 years ago. Not sure if it was the place your talking about but the Duty free shop we shopped in there had cc's. The prices were so inflated compared to the cc's we bought from the locals where we were stationed. Once we learned how much more we paid we didn't even try to shop at the airport on the way home.
One suggestion I can offer is price out the cigars and use this comparison. On average I've bought them for 8 to 9 dollars a stick from the local cigar stores wherever I've been stationed. I'm willing to pay at most two dollars more than that if they look in good condition. Other than that it just isn't worth it to me.

Hope that helps put it into perspective for you. :ss

Thanks for the info. I should have time to browse and then compare the prices online.

Double yup. Back when I lived there in '02, an MC2 was 14 quid/ $21. I don't even want to know how much it cost these days.

i've found some decent deals there. just check out their specials, you can get some nice EMS sticks. they had a pretty good selection with some older box codes hidden when i was there last

That had some deals of boxes of RyJ, but nothing I was interested in. The rest of the prices were pretty steep. I picks up a 3 pack of petite edmundos tubos in Stockholm duty free for ~$40, which is cheaper than I can get them anywhere at home. At Heathrow they were more expensive by about $10 or so.

Both had some older box codes. I saw some '07s in Heathrow and '03s in Stockholm.

I'm happy with my Scotch purchases in Heathrow though.:D
