Is it worth it to reopen the lounge? It's just another banter place really. Yet another place to just hang out and talk about cigars and food and booze and coffee and crispy bacon and BBQ sauce and hunting and fishing...
Small on the outside...

All the permits, licenses and fire marshal compliance bullshit would all be worthwhile if Marianne drops by every so often.
If we're going to reopen I think everyone needs to select their own chair. I lean to a mission style rocker:
http://img2.timeinc.net/toh/i/a/interiors/rocking-chairs-04.jpg
I'll need at least 10 covered porch chairs that meet the look and feel of the ReeNoo Moo Lodge motif to reopen. Anything chrome or plastic is out. Your drinking/smoking porch chairs, please?

Four more chairs to open up and air the place out; just present for yourself, thanks.
The old New Moo Lounge was a pretty high class joint. As the possiblility of a New-New Moo (or RenewMoo) Lounge now exists I have only one request -
1. No coffee pods on the premises (whiskey and firearms are fine); and
1a. No fart or snot posts; and
1b. No Will Farrell movies in the media room (which are basically fart and snot gags).
Vic and Zack can each make up a rule because they paid their dues already with cooking and cleaning. And Leafhof can make up a few rules because of his fertile imagination and deeply rooted sense of the perverse.

Well dog my cats - funny how these things go. I just SMOKED an OpusX FuenteFuente the other day. One of those big, fat long-ish jobbies. If the lodge was open we could sit down and discuss it. It was a weird 'un, too. Had some kind of glittery-sparkly crap all over the skin or the wrapping or whatever you call it. Been sitting around for years and it must have gotten some ground glass and dust on it from something. The sparkle stuff was underneath a wood cover and a red ribbony thingie.

Pandora.com was running on the laptop + external speakers. Some bright boy suggested "Frank Sinatra" and, yes, that made for some smooth smoking music most of the afternoon. Next time I will will try Duke Ellington and Lionel Hampton. Smart, Zack. Smart.

Wow Dan! That looks like melted chocolate. How's it taste? Not my picture, Ha'z but after a little tuning-in I can say mine tastes as good as what I've had at middle-eastern restaurants. A cup is a teaspoon of coffee ground talcum-powder fine cut with a teaspoon of sugar and a glip (1/8th t) of cardamom, boiled and cooled several times, then poured and topped with froth. I can't think of words to describe other than unexpectedly delicious or practically perfect. Nothing else compares.

If it wasn't for all the antioxidents in coffee who knows where I'd be.
Morning Moo!

Jeepers, 'smash. I was going to take a picture of my salad but, after that, forget it.
There is a Peterson chruchwarden on the cover of the new J. Peterman catalog. I left a copy on the front porch of the lodge. :tu

Moooooooooooooooooooo..............Costa Rican roasted to city; steel cut oats, possibility of working around the yard; and staring at the worlds largest coffee cup - a gift to Mrs. Moo for her birthday. Merciful Minerva - she put fruit in it!
The lounge is quiet. There is a shortage of dues-paying hillbilly thugs this morning. Maybe a new video in the entertainment center will perk things up!

2 pounds of Costa Rican arrive Monday at my house Mr Moo.
On an eco tour in Costa Rica years ago, I stopped at a coffee plantation and remember clearly how the tour guide was saying how much better the coffee was light roast.
I guess city roast is best?

I guess city roast is best?Tell you what we do here in the New Moo Lounge Break Area. We serve the cheap stuff. That $3.80/lb cheap-a$$ Costa Rican Hardbean over at CCM is one of the good bargains to be had and a great "learner" bean. It is large, easy to roast, makes smoke at the right times and makes fine coffee over a broad range from light to dark (not including oily); I happen to like it in the medium range, always stopping the roast no later than when pre-second crack smoke appears.
Tastes and opinions will differ but nobody can say their low-priced CR Taz isn't good, and a good bargain to boot.

The 3.80 a pound is what scared me off of a 5 pound bag.
I figured maybe it was too good to be true, but am glad it has your blessing.
One of the greatest things I have found about home roasting is, besides the price being a 3rd of roasted, you can keep a good variety on hand without worrying about spoilage.
The Freshroast is great as one roast covers about a day or 2.

CCM does have decent quality batches from time to time. I loaded up on some Kenya AA a while back that wasn't speechless, or spectacular, but it was damn good and easy on the wallet. Best part is here in Florida it arrives the next day!
