Usually by myself, while chatting with fellow inmates:)

Occasionally I can find a friend or two to share the experience. The rest of the time I'm left alone with the voices in my head.:hm

As long as you are with friends, that's what it's all about.

I don't have voices in my head...and Neither do I!

Actually I really enjoy herfing but once in a while there is something very calming about just being alone with cigar and coffee/booze that clears your mind.

I need a deck covering though. If it's not raining, the sun keeps getting in my eyes while typing.:D

Kayaker....you got to start thinking out of the box, bro. Umbrellas, speakers, cup holders, etc., could all be attachments that could be ordered for an additional price! :ss

I agree... I love a good cigar on the drive home. It is just for me. Of course I love a good cigar with friends more... :ss

Getting a little chilly out here now, but it is a great day. We've had some crappy weather this week so this in my first stick since last weekend.

This is my dream deck...on top of a boulder, next to the Crystal River, at the base of a class V+ manky rapid. Oh how I need to win the PowerBall...

Nice looking spot. The third kayaker on the forum that I know (including me).

River paddling I assume based on your river rating.

I Like natural settings for the relaxation factor. But I live in a city, so I make do with this as my herf spot. Doesn't suck too bad

Yeah, I'm into the whitewater.

I did some moving water canoeing courses and been on the river a couple of times in a yak. I live on an island and have a passion for the sea so that's what I do mostly.

We should start a paddling thread to see who else is out there on the water.

I'm with ya. It's great to get a group together and laugh it up. Sometimes though, it's just nice sitting outside solo and unwinding.

I understand there is some great whitewater on that island of yours...

Love the fire pit. Wood fired or gas? Been thinking about building one in my backyard at the Lake. That one looks nice.

Father and son herf on the back deck. That is KenS and his son facing the camera. My son has his back to the camera. The deck is good until it gets cold, the hot tub works well in the winter.

Speaking of which, it's starting to cool off these days. Might be time to have another.

I need a bigger backyard, damn city. When I sit out on the back deck I have to deal with the old lady next door throwin me dirty looks, if she only knew that just made me go inside to get another smoke that billows even more smoke...
