Anyone have cigs from Cuba? I know some of the major brands like Cohiba and RyJ make them. I smoke cigs occationally and was curious if they're anything special or just taste like a Marby

They are powerful and not like any domestic cig you will find.

I have a couple packs, but haven't tried them yet. Here are a couple threads that might help:

They are what I used to pretty much quit cigs, if that is any indication.
Kind of like quitting boxing by going a round or three with Mike Tyson, and running away covering your ears.

The Cohiba cigs I've tried packed a nice punch and have a nice tobacco flavor. Not sure how they compare to Marlboros...

I bought a few packs of the RyJs in Iraq. They were strong, smelled floral, and tasted bitter. I've quit since then.

I've ordered a number of Cohiba cigs for my wife, who's regular was Marlboro Lights. Much much stronger, but she can stomach them and is now into her 10th carton or so at about 1/3 the cost. I don't know that she'd go back to Marlboro.

I try not to smoke cigarettes but I've always wanted some of these just for going out to the pub. How cool would it be to pull out a pack of Cohibas the next time someone asks to borrow a smoke.

Did you make that up?

Replicant_argent gave me about 2/3 of a pack last time I saw him...lets just say I have a couple shy of 2/3 of a pack left. They are actually not too bad if you do not inhale. I will grab one if I am in need of a little smoke with only 5 minutes to spend (when it gets down to -50 and I am someplace I cannot smoke...I's rather have one of them than a camel)

Did you make that up?

Everyone knows that it is only after 483.2 posts, and 43.4% of them must be in the Banter threads.

If you like roll your own american spirits, then you will love them. Someone gave me some cohiba cigs (you know who you are) and I smoked one just to try it. I was about 4 months into being cigarette free. I am atill cigarette free minus that one cig I smoked since feb 2, 2009. So, to answer your question, if fuller bodied cigarettes are not for you, then most likely you won't enjoy them. If you are a true tobacco lover and got fed up with mainstream cigarettes, this would be the way to go. Would I smoke another in a heartbeat? Absolutely! However, I have made a pledge to be cigarette free to avoid future health complications.

I got some in a few months back for a friend who was interested in them. I don't don cigarettes anymore but did try some. As I inhale cigars they didn't make an impression on me at all. Everyone else said they were strong though.

I would like to try some of the Cohiba's just to see what the fuss is all about. They do have the coolest looking box of any cigarette I have ever seen.
