Ice fishing is just around the corner?

I don't mind the cold, and love ice fishing, but I don't smoke in the house so winter really cuts in on my cigar smoking. :(

I don't get to enjoy many smokes in the winter either so I entertain myself deal shopping to build up a full and nicely aged spring humidor opening.:banger

A little too late to bring the lantern in Warren... :)

That's not a lantern-that's a table torch lighter:r

Wish we had snow-but all we are going to get is 5-8 inches of rain in the next 2 days.

That lantern has done a lot of duty over the years, but I can't recall lighting a cigar with it. In the warm weather it's my outdoor reading lamp. In winter it's my nighttime ice fishing lamp. On camping trips it's the table lamp. During power outages it's the kitchen lamp. I think I've got my $20 out of it that I paid for it 15 or more years ago.

I'm a MN native, and still living here, but the sight of snow makes me want to puke. All it does is remind me of cold and death. I'd rather be warm, and in shorts. At least we insulated the garage, so I'll have some semblance of warmth to smoke in when it's 5 degrees outside. This is going to be a HARD winter, given that it's coming so early, and we never really had a summer.

The first sign of snow up north usually means thats the end of wakeboarding season for me and smoking on the lake. Guess the bright side is that..... snowboarding season is right around the corner. Cant beat going to Colorado and smoking in the snow.

After two relatively snow-less winters here in Philly...I am looking forward to a snowy winter. And since I just sold my Explorer to a guy who works for me, I won't be the one who has to make the trek to open the office!

Probably so. But I've got to hide behind my faux-manliness for the next 6 months, so it may be better if you just keep that photo to yourself. ;)

My "smoking season" runs from roughly early May through October. I'll smoke an occasional cigar or pipe during the winter, but I'm pretty much through now until spring.

This spring you should close-in the area under that new porch for winter smoking.

Thanks for reminding me of what ice-fishing is all about. I've never pulled something that big through the ice. My biggest fish is a bass about 2lbs.

Let's just plan to go over and invade Pete's house sometime...he has a smoking room. :D

If not there, there's always The Golden Leaf, Tobacco Grove, Burn, and a few other places. :)
