We order from a local burger joint almost every Sunday for football.

My friend routinely eats a 1/2lber with 2 fried eggs, 3 slices of bacon and two sausage links split open, on a bagel... I think that blows 1500 calories out of the water.

Never had a Luther before. I gotta try one someday.
Can't believe it's only 1500 calories.

I saw this on Man vs Food...except they turned the donut inside out (crispy side towards the burger).

I am surprised the whole burger is not also deep fried, that looks like something to be found at a county fair.

1500 calories, I will eat something else.

Burger on a donut? Yuck!!! Bagel I could understand. Save the sweet for desert and let the others be. That's like the McGriddle sandwich - eggs and sausage are gooe with pancakes on the side, but together??? Tried one, and I'm sorry, it doesn't work with my personal tastebuds.

Food is a mixture of flavors, and while it doesn't sound particularly appetizing or appealing when the components are thought of individually, when all the elements of the Luther burger come together, it should become more than just the sum of the parts, it has enough taste groups to potentially be something wonderful.

Or it could be complete crap, but I doubt it. The only thing I see as something that could kill this is too much grease in the meat or bacon, or a poor quality or over spiced burger. It's probably also something to not over indulge on, unless you like feeling like you swallowed a bowling ball.

Either way, I'd try one just to know the answer.
