With the Asylum's 1 year anniversary just 10 days away, I started to think of what I might smoke for the anniversary.

I'm drawing a blank... hopefully this thread will give me some ideas.

Right now i'm leaning towards an H. Upmann Mag 46 Tubo.

Let's hear yours!! :tu

It is a great idea Patrick.

I think I will light up a Davidoff 100th Anniversary Diademas Fina. :tu

I still cannot believe you let the last of yours go. Have a total of 11 tucked away....time for the oddball to meet it's demise.

Actually, per the Calendar, it's the 14th. A reason to smoke even more special smokes! :D

I'll have to check if any boxcodes are OCT 08, but if not I think I'll go with a Trini Ingenios I was gifted by germantown rob.

I joined Club Stogie in October 2006... and I have a couple of Opus X from then. That is one possibility.

Also, I was just gifted a Padron Anniversary by BarneyBandMan that looks awfully tasty. :dr

Any other suggestions?

Hmmm. I'll be out of town at that time, but will take a special one to toast the special place that this is.

I'm thinking maybe a 1957 Rbt. Burns panetela. Nothing like a good old fashion cigar to good old fashion brotherhood. :tu

This is a great idea... I have some Oct. 08 Mag 50s that I think will fit the bill.

Ahh...even better! I checked for OCT 08 codes but unfortunatley I have none. I'm 99% sure I joined CS in August of 06, and I do have something with that code....something tasty too! A PSP2 - POS AGO 06!! :dr

Then for me it really will be celebrated on my birthday! So my annual birthday Opus #4 and maybe a CC or two

On the CA calendar its listed as 10/14.

I can't wait to see what smokes the T.O.E. are going to chime in with.

The first time I met one of the other TOE was at Shack Herf I....my favorite cigar from that herf was a '98 Partagas 898, so that will likely be my first cigar. After that, I will follow up with a cigar gifted to me nby one of the TOE, and next I will smoke a cigar Pif'ed to me by an Inmate here since the Asylum came into existence...that will give me quite a few to choose from, because the Inmates are the most generous people I have ever known.

Gator's sending out the first trade for me on CA this week. I'll probably save something from there and the 2006 Opus X idea sounds good. Maybe the Scorpio I have, That sounds nice. Real nice.:ss

We're having the Don't Mess with Texas herf down here this weekend, so my palate may be in a bit of trouble on next Wednesday. I'll need something to cut through four days of heavy smoking. I'm thinking a Dunhill Cabinetta right now. Really looking forward to the milestone :tu

Now the pressure is on. I have no idea what I'll smoke.
One way or another, I'll smoke it with a good friend.
It'd probably be a good idea to spread some love on the 14th, being as that's what this place is all about.
It gives me an idea. :)

So many choices, May try a Cain F, or MB2, or maybe a Litto Gomez Chisel.... Or as seems to be a favorite, just go for an Opus... ;-) Those may be a bit much for the lunch smoke I will have to do that day, but, its a special occasion!

Wow... I really appreciate that Mario:tu Hopefully, there will be something in there that will be appropriate for the event.

I checked and I have three more boxes from Oct. 08

Sig II
Party 898
Party Culebra

Plus the Mag 50s.

I am sworn (to myself) not to touch those 898s... The Culebras I am saving for the EPIC herf... and the Sig IIs just don't seem to fit the bill. Mag 50 it is!!!

I love Tom's idea as well about smoking one that a fellow inmate gifted me... I'm not sure what that one will be yet... but there are some great choices to be had from the generousity (sp) of this group!!!

I still have a 85 RYJ Churchill tubo that I had hidden away in the humidor. hmmm where did that come from? A certain douchebag gifted me in Chicago a few years back. I think that would be appropriate for such an occasion. Sure glad I saved it. Still the nicest feller I know. Thanks Tom for the hookup.

I might go with the 85 Monte # 5 that DKlugs so graciously sent me and then follow that up with a EL or RE that Massphatness has sent me and follow that up with a Mag 50. There are just too many choices from BOTL that have sent me smokes.

I haven't had a cigar in a few weeks (life is catching up with me LOL) but I definitely want to celebrate this great milestone in style. So I'll probably fire up either my last Davidoff No 1 or a 70's Monte Especial.

Prob the Davi but ya never know ;)
