Have not been this excited for a regular season game that didn't involve the Broncos for a long time, but tonights game has my full attention....

I personnally can't stand Favre. He's overrated, selfish and has single handedly lost as many big games as he's won. That being said I'm playing against Arron Rogers in two fantasy leagues, hence I'm torn tonight.

Didn't all the so called "experts" say they were a train wreck this year? Good for the Broncos.

NFL overtime system has to go. The fact that a team can win with a drive that is meaningless is sad for the game. I am a Pats fan, they lost that game by not scoring in the second half, but that was not an exciting overtime. NFL has a lot to learn from College Football.

They also shouldn't allow a game to end in a tie like the Bengals and Eagles did last year. :td

I agree the current OT format is garbage, but college isn't that great. Why not a full quarter no sudden death. Whoever has the lead at the end of the quarter wins.

The overtime rules used in every level of football except the NFL is the best system possible. Each team gets a chance to match. A full period could turn into a blowout just as easily as back into a tie. :2

I was thinking the same thing, his dropping the TX late in the 4th. The announcers were giving him all kinds of love, being that he got the PI call(questionable), but it would have been for naught, if he would have just held onto a ball that was VERY catchable.

All in all, NICE pick up for the Jets....even with the drops that come along with him.

Well that is the teams D's fault for not getting the other team off the field. The game needs to be decided by playing the full game. Say after one quarter OT then go to a similar system to college.

You will never get the players or owners to agree to such a system. Sadly I feel that the current system is the one that will be used for some time to come. Currently players and owners have much more on their plates then worrying about the overtime format. If there ever is a change it will likely go the the high school/college overtime format. :tu

You are very right on them not changing :tu I definitely think they need to change the format regardless of what it is to. Having a team give a half ass effort just to make into field goal range is not exciting football.

Very cool to see Alex Smith play so well for the 49ers today. If he could somehow get them a victory(does not look likely), it would make my Sunday.

I wanted to express my pleasure in Jay Cutler being 3-3. Though this should not be a surprise to anyone, he has ALWAYS been a .500 QB at best. Million Dollar Arm......$.50 Head....

Think that is the exact same record the Bears had last year with Orton.

Orton is 6-0 with the Broncos....has thrown for 1464 yards 9 TD's-1 INT, as opposed to the weak chinned one, who is 1452 11-10..... NICE!

GO BRONCOS!

While Cutler may not have been effective yesterday, you can hardly blame the loss on him. The Bears defense could not come close to stopping Palmer, Ochocinco and Benson.

E.J.
10-26-2009, 08:38 AM
Not really blaming the loss on Cutler. Just saying he is not a winner. Didn't win at Vandy, didn't win with the Broncos and now is not winning with the Bears. Though I will cut him some slack with Vandy, nobody goes there to win.

I do not believe that he inspires those around him. I never got the sense that he was a "leader." Jay Cutler is a prima donna who deflects blame. He is all that is douche..... I would not be surprised if Merriam-Webster didn't put his picture next to "Douche" in the dictionary.....;)

I said it when he replaced The Snake that the Broncos would have the curse of the snake for years and years.... They were lucky enough to dump J.C. and all has been well since. Hopefully it is not just Jake playing games with his curse.

E.J., I totally agree with everything you said. In fact, this is exactly what I've been telling people here in Colorado for the last couple of years. I am sooooo glad Cutler is losing somewhere else now. Sorry for da bearz fans, but happy as a Broncos fan.

What was Belicheck thinking? 2 minutes left 6 point lead and you go for it? Genius :)

It isn't the safest of calls but at the same time Pats make the first down and he looks like a Genius.

Big Ben throws for 503 :jd and they only win by 1point against GB. Where was the Defense?? Aaron Rodgers didn't have a pedestrian game either throwing for 383. 3 passing TD's each. Crazy game..
