Nica Libre


Calling all Padron fans!

Hand-crafted in Nicaragua
Supposedly "An Excellent Alternative" to Padron. Curious.:)

I know a few people that have tried them and they did like them and they did remind them of a Padron. I think its one of those cigars that is worth the money to buy a box and forget about it for awhile, then it will be a great smoke!

I've never smoked a Padron, so I can't compare them, but Nica Libres are a tasty smoke.

Never smoked one, but people keep telling me that they are a decent smoke, just don't expect them to taste like a Padron.

I have a box on the way. I'm not paying much attention to the Padron comparison, but the word on the street is they're pretty good. We shall see :tu

I bought a box of the exclusivo off cbid and smoked one off the truck. It was a little rough around the edges but all in all not a bad stick. I wouldn't go comparing them to Padron's other than being a Nic puro. It was a good inexpensive cigar that will get better with age that I would buy again in the future. Just my $.02 though

I think they are a very good cigar for the price, taken on their own merits. I've got a box squirreled away, and occasionally smoke some singles.

They do not taste liek padrons.. but they are very good for the price. Im happy.

The unlit aroma of the foot is amazing!!!

I smoked one in a blind review and didn't like it at all. But it could have just been a bad stick.

My thoughts: they are decent to good but a little young still give them 6mo to a year and they will be similar to a Padron as in that same earthy maduro flavor category but they are not a Padron IMO each is a little different.

I bought a 5ver of them and wasn't overly impressed but I really didn't give it a fair shake either as I was fixing something or the other. (like always :tu )

Nope. I think the Padron x000 series are overly harsh and bitter. I liked the Nica better.

Now, there is no way the Nica is better than the Padron 26 or Anni :)

Dan, remember I got my Nica's about 2 weeks before I gave you one, so there was pretty much no rest. The first one I smoked was right out of the mail from C.I....and it was pretty wet, but smoked good and I liked the overall flavor.
