ok so i'm off for a week next week but have no idea where to go to get away.

1) I'm in the Chicago area
2) destination should be drivable or Amtrak/train and warm!
3) looking for relaxing...not really wanting to sight-see the whole city
4) 2-3-4 nights
5) camping? casino? spa? pool?

cost...well not looking to blow so keep it $100/night for accommodations

I might consider Lake Geneva again...but that is not too high on my list

Come to my place and camp out in the yard, Than. Indoor plumbing, fridge/freezer available, bonfire pit, smoking allowed.:D

And, you can "Rent-A-Smoking Buddy". For a nominal fee, I will come out and have a cigar with you each night.:r

North Arkansas or South Mo. Branson, Eureka Springs, Springfield, Cotter, Fayetteville. Weather is very nice and very laid back. Nothing huge at all.

You could hand-deliver the Troops box pass to the next participant! ;)

How about Door Cty in Wisconsin? Changing leaves, countryside, the lake, etc.

Greater Cincinnati. Near casinos, Kings Island Amusement Park, best ribs and chili anywhere, not a difficult drive, Party Source in NKy has best cigar prices around, and you can go down the road a mile and smoke your new purchases while eating wings at Hooters and watch the boats go by on the Ohio River! And watch other things as well!:);):banger:ss

Thanks for all the suggestions!

So...I booked a few nights in Harbor Country / New Buffalo, MI. The SO is going too so it had to be 'reasonable activities for couples'.

So now the question is....who's been....any recommendations while there?

Get a hold of my bro, DPD6030. He is a little ways east of there and might know some things to do.

Driven through but never stayed. Only thing I know about the area is that Kid Rock (the singer, not the member on here :) ) has a place there on the water.

Enjoy your stay in MI. :tu
