View Full Version : Need a newb that writes reviews...

I'd like a newb that writes reviews and enjoys cigars for a little blind taste test fun.

You need to have around 100 posts, at least 1 or 2 trader feedbacks (a send and receive in the NST, for instance) and to have written some reviews already. I'd like it if you're fairly new to smoking and just trying new stuff.

You'd be obligated to write reviews and enjoy some cigars.. that's about it (painful, eh?).

Post here why you should be the one and link some of your reviews. The way you write your reasons will be considered too... :tu

I fit most of that (~100 posts, 2 trader feed backs, have done several reviews). I've been smoking for 2 years and am always open to new smokes. I was part of Ted's Blind Taste Test Review. Let me know if that's ok with you.

I almost fit the discription you're looking for.

Here is a sample of my one and only review I did last Friday.

http://www.cigarasylum.com/vb/showthread.php?t=21290

I've only been smoking cigars since April of this year and have a ton of learning to do as far as being decriptive in my assessment of cigar taste, make up and complexity.

For instance, I don't know what "earthy" is because I'm 41 and haven't eat'n dirt since I was a child. Unless you count Airborne school while I was in the Army, or the other night when I had one too many Knob Creeks. :al

I'm in!!!

Sounds like fun. I'll be your huckleberry.
However, I'm not sure if I fit the criteria for number of posts; and I haven't posted any reviews here. Considering how unqualified I am given your conditions, my lack of basic English comprehension, my extremely unstable work schedule, inability to distinguish flavors in cigars, improper lighting/smoking technique, and general rude demeanor how could I not be qualified.

Alright... this isn't going to be a 1 or 2 cigar blind taster thing, it's 10 each so we should have plenty of fun with it.

I'm interested in being a part of a round 2 if there is one. My posts aren't that high yet.... but, hey, there's still cigar #10 in round 1 and at Kelly's rate of reviews I should be at the necessary post count by then ;) (just kidding ;) )

I may post a review or two before decision date as well.

I am certainly n00b in the cigar world. Just got into them over the summer, and being a college student don't get to buy TOO many to try (though, my girlfriend still says I buy too much.... ) Anyhoot, good luck to whoever is a part of round 2. Round 1 was exciting to follow. And it really has me wanting some CC's based of their reviews....

This shouldn't be as much about "wanting some CC's" as it should be about having fun and trying some new things, though...

I am quite a n00b, but I do enjoy trying new smokes and I love sharing my experience with everybody. I don't do much research on the reviews I have done here, because I don't really care what other folks say about a certain cigar or brand, my review should be how I feel about the cigar.

I'm trying to add new reviews every couple days, and I think pictures really help show how a cigar burned, came apart, smoked, etc....

Perhaps by the time the next round starts I'll have the necessary post count to be considered :)

I too would like to throw my hat in the ring! I love trying new smokes and I love an adventure. The first round was awesome and I would love to be involved. I have done one review here:

Good luck to those that are trying to be a reviewer!

It is a great thing you are doing Dan. (a little ass kissing doesn't hurt, right?)

If it's still open, I'd like to throw my name into the ring.
I've been smoking for about a year and a half, but still fairly inexperienced in regards to the variety of sticks I've tried.
