I agree with you. Favre has the age and experience and ability but Peterson has some moves that will test any defense. This will be a really good test to see how stable the defense is even though they have looked good since pre season. Vikings are favored which hopefully will motivate the defense to step it up.

Been a fan since the early days of Kezar Stadium and Brody and when Bill Walsh came in to coach in 78. I have a jacket from the Glory Days of all the SB Wins and feels good to wear it again.

I felt the same way...they burned about 10 seconds off the clock with that possession-they need to chance a pass or two and get a first down...then they would of had them. You can't give the ball back to a guy like Farve with that much time on the clock.

With all of their headaches after Vick and watching their coach basically walking away like he did ( who does that kind of thing ) who would have thought they could rebuild as quickly as they have. I won't hold out any hometown feelings when these two teams play. This is the first time in a long time I will be able to wear my nice leather Niners jacket with all of the championships on it this winter.

What a game to attend! Had a blast with a few friends and actually thought we had the comeback momentum to close them out. Crabtree looked pretty good aside from looking confused out of the huddle. Running to the wrong side of the field and etc. Vernon Davis is becoming a star and making this fantasy owner happy as well. Pics coming from the sidelines also. Got a couple nice ones. Stay tuned!

I dunno about this game. I use to live in Indianapolis for a couple of years and use to go to their games,,,a friend of mine had access to the luxury boxes and it was quite a treat. Manning is just a machine who looks like he could just toy with any defense at will. I'm not expecting a win here but would love to see some solid play from the boys in Gold and White.

Great point. I think they are convinced! Now its a matter of experience and habit. Once we have played consistent for a period of time, I think these guys will only know one way to play... Smashmouth! Let's hope for a strong push for the the division title and also hope to keep the core team together for a few years.

I understand the frustration with Alex but really hope we don't gamble on another college qb. We need more defensive playmakers and offensive line. We can win with Alex. Remember, we now have a solid foundation for a coaching staff. Give Alex another year or two and build around him and I think he can be successful.

Huge strides this year. Keep in mind those many close ones too. ie: Brett's pass with no time left in the back of the endzone. Ouch!

What to look forward to in 2010:
1) 2nd full year under Coach Singletary and Staff
2) Alex Smith in second year with the same system
3) Michael Crabtree participating in full training camp and more time with our offense
4) Drafting offensive line and defensive playmakers (hopefully)
5) Watching Arizona get crushed TWICE next year
6) Me going to my Annual Away Game :tu
