Anyone have a guess whoo makes them?

Do the Grande Robustos have a square shape to them? Or are they perfectly round? What about the regular robustos? I prefer a round cigar, and the pictures make it difficult to tell the shape.

i didnt really care for them. But they are a good cigar as far as construction and blend. Just not what i like in terms of flavor

AHHHH!!!! :bh

This would have to happen when I don't have any money to buy them. I have only had one and they have been sold out since then.
I hope they stay in stock till I get paid next. :gl

Thanks for the heads up, I hardly ever check that site out when I don't have money. :l

Can anyone comment on the shape of the two robusto offerings? Round or squarish?

Don't know about this batch, the last two have been box pressed-ish. Meaning it's kind of rounded, but looks like it was squished.

I would look into getting a bundle if they had smaller sizes... Sucks that the smallest ring gauge they have is 52. :(

I almost feel like buying the Grande Robusto.

I don't know why, but these with 6 months rest on them seem to be in my top 5 cigars.

Those that inquired about the shape, here's what the Grande Robusto's look like. They're mostly sqaure-ish.

If you have a say with the boss(s), please let 'em know we'd love to see the 3K in thinner ring gauges too. I wouldn't mind some fine lanceros. Thanks.

I doubt that will happen. It's already a struggle to keep what we have in stock and refill on a timely basis. But I'll cross my fingers for you.

That rumor's been going around for years. I even saw a post on one of the boards somewhere that I had confirmed it to be true. I never did such a thing. Then again, I never denied it either.

I just got my bundle of robusto's today. This is my first time trying these. Is there any particular reason that the ratings are different between the torp vs robusto, or is it just that people tend to like the torps better because of shape? Also, how long do i have to hold off on smoking these suckers??? I am dying to try them!

I don't know why one is rated better than another, just the whims of the reviewers I guess.

What I'd do personally is take one or two and let them rest for a week or so in your humi, and then smoke it. Depending on what you think of it, you may choose to let the others age a few months. I've got enough "aged" ones to hold me over for a while, so I'm going to let mine rest until spring. Here in MN I don't smoke much in the winter anyhow, so it won't be too hard for me to leave them alone. ;)

I have had the X series, and while a great cigar it does not compare to the OR Famous Nic 3000, or even later versions. The X series has too much spice.

I really want to try one but I can't get over the goliath sizes they come in. It's just not comfortable smoking anything over 50rg, atleast for me it's not.

Maybe one day I'll break down and pick up a fiver for when I'm feeling a little masochistic.

I acquired some last October & they've been sitting since. Guess I ought to dig one out & give it a shot. I agree with coastietech on the RG...a little more than I usually like, so I've been smoking all around them.

That's why the Torp's are my favorite. You can more or less make up your own RG.
