View Full Version : How long can you last?

If you stopped buying cigars today *gasp, not that!* how long could you last with your current supply?
My wife asked me this question this morning and I can easily say I'd never really thought about it. If I stopped today, I could probably last 4-5 years at my current rate of smoking.

Damn.....interesting question. I guess I would last a few months, but definitely not in the years category.

At my curreny rate of 1 a day, 3 months 19 days, exactly.
At the current rate of consumption... 22 years. The problem is I buy 10 for every 1 I smoke.

I figure I smoke about 45 a month, one a day during the week and 2-3 a day on the weekends. At that rate I could probably sustain my habit for about 5 months

Probably 3-4 years at my current consumption rate. But I've been getting very clever at creating new smoking opportunities!

Hmmm... It is strictly a guess but I would say a couple of years as I have been smoking a good bit lately.... probably in the neighborhood of 20 or so a week.

Cool question.
At my rate of 2-3 a week I would have enough cigars for 4 years.
at 1 sometimes two per day I would probably last about 4 months

About the same at my current rate. So much for my plan of 2-3 a week when I started this 7 mos ago.

Well, lets see at about 3 - 4 a day, not counting herfs and gifting, maybe about 5 -7 months. :ss
Actually, I had thought about this subject a while ago, and that's one of the reasons I started to smoke my pipe again. :pi
I had to reduce my cigar budget, since my oldest son moved back home cuz he couldn't afford his apartment anymore, when he got laid-off in December. :( Plus an extra car payment each month = a lot of cigars! :D

I would have to guess and say I probably smoke about 150 cigars a year - 3 a week , definitely more in the summer then the winter . Probably last a good 5 years but the choice selection would run thin at some point and cause me to want more of this or that . Good question . Nice thread .

I could last a couple months. Maybe three if I stretch it.
It does not help that I like to smoke a small cigar on the way to work. Another small or medium size cigar at lunch and a big one after work. If I cut down I could go longer but where is the fun in that?
I have to start working on building my collection.:ss

Prolly in the 6 year range if I average one a day. I don't know my average tho. Some days I dont smoke at all especially in the winter, some days like yesterday I smoke 4.
At my current rate of 7 to 8 per day with my current stock: about 3 months.
During normal times, i.e. work is good, life not throwing crap at me - I could normally last a few years easy.

Good question. I am smoking 1 to 3 a day because of the great weather that we are experiencing right now. Winter it goes down to 1 a day.
So after some quick math, around 2 years...
Smoking 2 or 3 a week, so prolly a couple years.
