There's a man who lived it- until the end, in fact.

Amazing songwriter.

Amazing player.

Amazing entertainer.

Amazing recordist.

Amazing inventor.

The definition of 'original'.

You're gonna be missed, Les. :salute:

A legend and honored soul to be sure. George & Leo come to mind as well. George Fullerton passed away earlier in the month and Leo back in 91. Music is good :) Thanks boys and thanks Mary :)

He will be missedby many.

True story:

Several years back a man brings his Les Paul guitar into the Blue Parrot in New York where Les was still playing up until this year. The man asked Les Paul to sign his guitar and Les Paul simply wrote "Me" for his autograph on the guitar. Way too cool for words.

RIP Les

Absolutely. A lot of you youngsters may know he invented the electric guitar and invented multi-track recording, but did you know he invented the multi-track recorder itself? Since the machines being made could not do what he heard in his head, he wired an extra "head" into an early reel-to-reel deck.

Rest in peace, Les. There will never be another.

he invented the electric guitar

He invented the solid-body electric guitar, to be precise.

I didn't know he was still around. RIP.

I didn't know he was still around.

Not only was he still around, he had a weekly gig in NYC.

I was actually hoping to catch it in the next month or two. :(

I watched a documentary on Les.
You oughta see his house. He is the definition of mad scientist.
I watched the show and thought, "Man, I'd lobve to talk to this old boy."
He was genius. And he loved what he did.
He was a good man, and spent an incredible time on this planet. His contributions are limitless.
