I have used grills all over the board, but the one that I keep at home is the best there is. There is no need for anything more than this:

Keep an eye on Craigslist. Both of mine are older models and I had to replace a few parts but I picked them up cheap.

Prospector wins! Geez!

I have a Standard Weber kettle
http://m-mason.smugmug.com/photos/631295944_KDEvL-L.jpg

I did install a bi-metallic "Tell-Tru" thermometer in the lid. It works very well. I rotated it so that 250 is pointing straight at the center of the lid handle. This helps check the temp "at a glance".

Just got a new grill and smoker so I thought I would bump this old thread. I actually need to thank Casa Dooley especially and all the other BOTL on here who posted so many comments on grills and smokers. Gave me a lot to work with.

In the end I went with the Chargriller because of a stupidly good discount. And I got all the accessories for less than $25 too! :D

All the BGE's have me envious.... I have been peripherally looking for someone dumping one locally in the classifieds for a bit of time....

Not my grill(one from the plae we rented), but a meaty grill pic from a trip to Powell a few years ago.... Nothing like a good steak after a day riding/cruising on Lake Powell...

I've really loved mine after purchasing it a couple of weeks ago! It's an incredible and versatile grill, smoker, and oven! I purchased the large BGE and it's easily the best grill I've ever had.

This is the place setter that you set on the ring above the charcoal. It allows you to cook indirect. You set the grill on top of it. You set the bread stone on it if you are baking something.

http://i343.photobucket.com/albums/o478/blugill69/photo-34.jpg
This is inside, I had to use a flashlight for light cause it's pretty gray out today and cloudy.
I just cooked on it yesterday so the grill is kind of dirty at the moment.
