Brand name of a cigar produced by Drew Estates. They are infused with different flavors. Try one :D

It's a cigar that is infused with 150 botanical oils and extracts and crap like that. It's marketed to the new, younger smoker so I guess "Acid" will catch their eye.

Some people like them and they are a big seller but I can't stand them. It's like smoking incense or perfume, imo, and you can't get rid of that smell or taste.

Come up 321 to Hickory and Pipes Ltd and I'll show you what they are. :tu

When even the retailers trying to sell them tell you they are "uh, different", you know they are not for everyone. But try one - you may be the guy they are made for.

I doubt it, but who knows? :ss

I love flavored cigars- tobacco-flavored cigars, that is. :D

As for Acid, I'll paraphrase George Carlin.

"I wouldn't **** her with a stolen ****!"

I think I read somewhere that ACID stands for the initials of the company Jonathan Drew and his buddies started back in college or something like that.

You have to be on acid to enjoy them? I dunno...never tried one and not really inclined to do so.

Because after you smoke one, 99% of cigar smokers with any taste buds left want to cleanse their palate with Hydrochloric acid.

Repeatedly.

YMMV... of course. Saddle up.

The real question may be: Why is Acid?

To give the Swisher Sweet crowd something to move up to. ;)

My one-and-only Acid cigar (an Acid Malta) tasted like antifreeze. Never had another one since and likely never will.:td

As much as everyone knocks ACID cigars they are the stepping stone for alot of new cigar smokers.

I'll be honest I really liked the first Kuba Kuba I smoked and it's what made me want to try more. If I had started out with habano type cigars I may not have stuck around to really start to enjoy the hobby.

So while ACID cigars aren't liked much and while a lot of experienced cigar smokers don't like them, give them some credit for what they do. They bring young and new people to the hobby.

It's called that because it actually burns your mouth when you smoke it! :r

The mention of flavored cigars might get a snicker around here but I'm sure they are quite profitable. Think about how many times you've seen a guy at the B&M "just browsing" with no idea what he's looking for. That guy is the person Acid's are made for.

I've seen gangs of miscreant yoofs enter the B & M, knowing exactly what they were looking for- Acids! Them things are doing just fine in the marketplace, I think.

You're absolutely right. Just last weekend I was smoking a '58 pre Embargo with a bunch of guys who used to smoke Phillie Blunts, White Owls and Black n Milds.

An Acid is just different. Some people like the change of pace... just like a pipe with a bowl of cherry or any of the different pipe tobaccos that are available.

Acids ARE a bit odd and can be strong, but they are good in mixed company.
