After a year and a half of trying to find a career after graduating college I am finally in the final stage of becoming a United States Border Patrol Agent. I received this notification online today:

You have been referred to the scheduling unit. Generally an applicant can expect to be contacted to schedule their entrance on duty and/or training in 30 - 60 days. Depending on an applicant's selected locations scheduling calls could be extended an additional 30 days or more. :D

Its been a really long and difficult year and a half trying to find someone to hire me but it has finally paid off. Thanks to those of you that have given me some encouragement throughout the way.

So... do you plan on being a *ahem*... "loose" border patrol agent, with regard to particular 'Totalmente a Mano' products? ;)

Congrats!

Congratulations! That's great news. My frat brother had the same dream.
I think he got a graduate degree in Psych. so he could get in. Shortly after getting into the Border Patrol he landed a sweet position as some type of international health inspector. I think he's responsible for making sure illegal chemical and biological agents don't get into the country.

I guess I'm trying to say that there are plenty of other opportunities for you in the Border Patrol Service. I'd also like to say, be safe! The border needs protecting now more than ever! Good Luck!

Congrats! I'm a CJ major right now (have a AS in it trying to get a BS) after which USBP is one of my top choices!

Congrats man. I used to have a neighbor with the BP who was a firearms instructor at FLETC. He had some kick ass toys.

Congratulations. I too am in that line of work, in my own little way. I smoke a ton of Honduran cigars, in order to keep them employed down there - otherwise, they'll move in next to me.

That comment certainly shows your age. They haven't been at FLETC in years. :D
