The wife and I are going to a baby shower. I know, it sounds like pure torture, but luckily my buddy and his wife aren't the type who really get into these things. It's more of a BBQ with close friends. It's has an aloha theme. There will be plenty of margaritas!! There will also be smoked pork shoulder. :dr I'll be thowing on a Hawaiian shirt and heading over in a couple of hours. Can't wait to enjoy some great food, drinks and cigars with great friends! :banger

So, what are you doing today?

I'm already on the Ibuprofen Highway

All and all we got a pretty nice Saturday planned. Home Depot, maybe Bed Bath and Beyond, I don't know, I don't know if we'll have enough time.

No really, it just worked with the movie. :D

Golfing (naturally), then heading a few miles up north for my BIL's retirement party at his cabin. Family is all in town, so it's a mini-reunion. Smoke and drink might be involved. :tu

Art says my vehicle qualifies for $4500. If that's the case I'm willing to trade it in for a new pickup, something small, from the Ford dealer Art used to work at. Plus, they're offering cash rebates on certain models.
I can really use a small pickup for hauling things. If I can't get the $4500 immediate trade-in credit then there's no deal.....I'd rather keep the clunker.

Other than that, if you guys are not too worn out from the baby shower, I'm doing some rib eyes and ABT's here at PDB&G tonight. :D

Cool George. Trade-in credit and rebates...great time to buy a new ride! I hope it qualifies. We'll give you a call later and hopefully we'll check out your new truck tonight. :wo

Did the grocery shopping, cut my lawn and did some other yard work. Then I relaxed with a Perdomo2 and a beer (or several). Now headed over to our nephew's house for a 3rd birthday celebration for one of our grand nephews. Catch 6 pm Mass. Then home to watch the Red Sox game.:D

Poped a couple more Ibuprofens ...
Now I thinks it's time for this old Desperado to have a drink and a smoke!

A friend and I dug the footings for a deck we're building. It's going to be a "specialized" deck for my special needs son to play on. Extra high handrails, and oversized joists and beams to support the weight for some water therapy toys. WE dug 4 footings, 12" wide by 4 feet deep. We used an auger, but holy cow that thing is like wrestling a steer. Now they're ready for inspection. Tonight, a campfire with the family and a Hemingway Signature maduro.

I'm at Starbucks right now with my little netbook surfing through my regular food and cycling discussion forums telling folks why they're wrong. In a few minutes I'm off to work, just down the street.
This Starbucks on Sunset Bl is my favorite posing spot, whether by bike or netbook. :D

Technical set-up of a live venue for a teen apologetic conference that will also be simulcast tomorrow over satellite to about 250 churches nationwide. Cameras, control, lights, computers, uplink, intercom, stage and displays. Kind of a fun change of pace.

I took my car in to get serviced and they told me that my strut rod is starting to crack and needs to be replaced in the near future. Then I'll need an alignment after that. It was a little more than I had anticipated, but gotta do whatcha gotta do. :) Anyway, I'm looking forward to a nice cigar tonight . :ss
