Crap, I didn't even notice there was a little kid between those two. See, I'm already an outlaw, that kid is showing a blatant disregard for helmet laws.

I don't think it was a tip... it was a straight up threat.

She was trying to play him as "the good guy" to give up the Irish. Jax was having none of it. He wanted her to realize that she could disappear, just like Kohn. Chilling, really, to see that side of Jax. Up to this point, his violence has been quick-tempered and heat-of-the-moment.

This time? That was straight up cold-blooded. Wow...

Also, noticed how everybody else went into the club house after they made bail, and Jax went the other way. Looks like Jax is losing all of his support.

This show always leaves me wanting more! Can't wait for next week. :tu

I have to echo what Joe said, it was a straight up threat. She thinks that she is untouchable and Jax wanted to bring her back down to reality.

I don't know that Jax lost his support, I think maybe he made the choice to go the other way. I think he is telling Clay that he is fed up with his reckless attitude and his misuse of power.

This show is just WOW this season. WOW.

Alright, so I'm late chiming in this week.

I've got to admit I grow fonder of Tara each week. Gemma's still my hero, but Tara might make an alright MC Princess before it's all said and done. I was really proud of them for not turning over Opi's kids to that **** chick. Not that I have anything against ****stars per se, but you don't just let any person take anyone's kids without talking to that person first. I like how the episode ended with Gemma and Tara standing alone in the parking lot. It's kinda how it's coming down. Keeping secrets, taking care of the "abandoned" children... I have a feeling the girls are going to play a big part in the upcoming power struggle.

I was so excited when that ATF agent showed up again. I freaking hate her!!! Can't even remember her name. She goes by "crazy b!+ch" in my head. Playing dirty, trying to turn people against each other, and just generally stirring the pot. She reminds me of this girl I knew in HS. Come to think of it, that girl got her nose broke too. :D Can't stand her, but she brings that spark to the powder keg.

Finally got to see some hardcore fireworks from Jax and Clay. And while there's a part of me that's all "About freaking time!", there's this other piece that wonders "why then?". Clay didn't know they were getting out. Why would he risk throwing gasoline on Jax's fire before sending him into a room alone with that sneaky good for nothing pot stirring slag?? Something's off/up/going on there. Just not sure what.

OK, one more thing and then I'll shut the hell up. Does anyone else think Opi has lost his freaking mind?! I mean I understand he needed the drugs to set up the tranny, but is robbing a drug dealer at gunpoint at the **** studio which is supposed to be their legitimate cover the best option?!?!? I think he may have hit his head too hard when he ran into the back of that car last week. Not that he hasn't got cause, but that guy is headed for a breakdown of nuclear proportions.

Ok, I lied. One more thing: THANK YOU, TRISTAN!!!! :D

Scothew
10-21-2009, 03:57 PM
remember a few weeks ago when Clay told Jax sitting outside the club that if he mentioned opi's wife again, he'd kill him. The fed agent saying that (even though hale told her) to Clay is what set him off I think.

OK... WTF!? So not only is Zobelle in bed with the Mayans, he's giving them FREE guns?!?!

This whole CaraCara thing is getting out of control. It shouldn't have gone on as long as it has and because they tried to be nice, look what happen to Luanne. What happen to "Next time Canseco Does Georgie"?

I'm intrigued with the whole Irish son and Zobelle's lil princess sideline. It seems trivial, which I've come to learn with these writers means it's a possible twist down the line. Can anyone tell me who "Jimmy O" is?

And why the hell is Chucky back?! That guy creeps me out.

The first 5/6ths of the episode was, meh, IMO. Just didn't like it as much as the others this season. It got REAL at the end though. Man. Everything thing is hitting the fan on all fronts. I know Georgie is a minor threat compared to everything else SAMCRO is facing, but I think they should take care of him first.

OK... WTF!? So not only is Zobelle in bed with the Mayans, he's giving them FREE guns?!?!

Business investment right? He's using them to drive out other clubs. First the 9ers, now SAMCRO. My guess at least. Then Zobelle will have a close relationship with the only game left in town.

I'm intrigued with the whole Irish son and Zobelle's lil princess sideline. It seems trivial, which I've come to learn with these writers means it's a possible twist down the line. Can anyone tell me who "Jimmy O" is?

I think there's a twist. She seemed awful interested in the phone call between the irish kid and his Dad. Maybe they want to push in on the Irish turf? Cut out a middle man?

GKitty
10-28-2009, 12:28 PM
Ok... here's my theory.

The whole Donna thing is going to come out, most likely because Tara is going to ask Jax about his comment about "killing women" and they have this whole "full disclosure" thing going. Tara can't keep a secret and Gemma will get it out of her. Then when Gemma confronts Clay about it, he pins it on trigger happy ultra-paranoid, sad and twisted Tig. I even think Clay's lil bit this week about Donna's shooting "flipping a switch" to Tig was setup work. So not only will Clay make it all out to be Tig's fault, Tig will step up and do the "right thing" by protecting his president and taking the blame.

I hope I'm wrong.

SmokeyJoe
10-28-2009, 12:36 PM
Remember... Gemma already knows. She may not know the details, but she knew to ask the day after, "was that our mistake?"

I also thought the comment to Tig was curious and could really affect his character. Does he become even more rabidly devoted to Clay to prove his loyalty, or did it tweak him enough to begin thinking more for himself?

Thought Tig's attack on Opie about Trammel's shooting was surreal! What in the world?! And to see Clay's two lieutenants, Tig and Bobby, going at each other? Wow.

This show is never boring to me. I did not see the Luanne killing coming. Big Otto will not be much of a player anymore, I would assume. Hate to see those two roles gone from the show.

C'mon next Tuesday! :tu

That is a good point. This episode is setting up a lot of things. I thought the end was damn good. Don't forget that the Opies kids were in the room for that. I think the prospect will get his rocker at some point soon and take on a bigger role. I would like to see something good for the club so there is something to cheer for. Watching the club just implode gets depressing at some point.

I'm so glad I'm caught up and I can read and post in this thread rather than trying to avoid hearing anything about the episode.

Darrell
10-29-2009, 10:42 AM
This was a really good episode but at the same time it was a really bad episode. It was bad in terms because of the club destroying itself from the inside out.

Clay needs to be a man and tell Opie what happened. Everyone is so quick to blame Jax for the beef with Clay, if Opie knew that Jax was pissed because Clay ordered the hit on Donna, I have a feeling Opie would be signing a different tune.

I knew Zoebelle was going to get in bed with the Mayans. I don't know how, but I had that feeling the entire time.

Tig totally hesitated when he he was supposed to protect Clay. How about the part where Clay told Tig "I'm not even sure this patch makes sense anymore". He was referring to the SGT AT ARMS patch that Tig wears for anyone who did not catch that. I see a changing of the guard real soon if Tig does not get his **** straight.

and Chibbs has a wife? and Gemma is afraid of her? Gemma said she has only been afraid of 3 women and one of them in Chibbs wife. This should be an interesting twist. This was a great episode, and I can't wait for next week.

I never said everything would be fine. However, it's about time Clay got the sand out and admitted it, as long as it keeps brewing the club will continue to tear itself apart.

Sauer Grapes
10-29-2009, 04:59 PM
The last thing clay should do, from a survival point of both him and the club is to tell opie the truth. He's damned either way, but he's more damned if he makes enemies with opie.

Sure, it's what a man would do, but don't forget, SAMCRO are criminals and as much as the show glorifies them, and as much as we like members of the club, the aren't upstanding guys.

BarneyBandMan
10-31-2009, 02:28 PM
yeah, but Jax has more to lose than Clay..Clay is the past and Jax is the future..for Opie to be a part of the future, he needs Jax...and who's to say he doesn't already know Clay's past killed his wife. He has been acting as one who abandons his past, as far as Donna and the kids are concerned...or whatever...Canes just got their a**es handed to them by the Flyers..so I may not be handling the past well right now anyway...lol:r

The prospect is doing his job, he wants the MC to want him. His rush to the fight only makes him look better. Oppie should go Nomad, he is is getting dirty and becoming the muscle for the club. If it does come out that Clay put the hit on Oppie, one of them will be gone from the MC and there are basically two ways a person leaves a MC, retirement and death.

Jax is too emotional, it is causing way too much distress for Samcro. Will he really leave his mother club?

So... Chucky is dead, presumably burned to a crisp? Apparently they will find the charred remains of one Ernest Darby in the middle of the rubble... another character that I hate to see go.

Jax is leaving the Redwood Original, it seems. And previews indicate that Gemma tells Jax that his Dad's death was no accident... unbelievable. Seems to be heading toward either Jax killing Clay or Clay doing in Jax... not much way to avoid it, especially if Jax fingers Clay for his dad's death.

This show continues to amaze. Kurt Sutter is a genius. :tu

I know... I know... but if Jax finds that Clay is responsible for his dad's death, it is hard to imagine how Sutter will resolve that. He has already made several moves I didn't expect. :D

It really is a great show... lots of twists and turns! Hate to lose Luanne... and possibly Darby, it seems.

Scothew
11-04-2009, 09:27 PM
Jax also thinks Clay burnt down caracara right? At the end of the episode, the outcome of Darby or itch boy Chucky wasnt brought forth to Jax's knowledge yet so who knows where that might go.

And the fact that Jax to get Opies trust back could easily spill the beans on what Clay ordered and his wifes untimely death, could put Opi back in jax's corner, and we know how much of a loose canon he's been lately.

That was one of, if not the best episode of this series. Action, emotion, conflict, and what looks to finally be the start of some resolution. How many episodes left in this season? For some reason I thought this was the finale since it was an hour and a half, thankfully I was wrong, lol.

I have to agree. Best episode of the season, for me. The way it ended reminded me of the Sleep of the Babies (next to last episode last year). Camera is panning what everyone is doing and there is a great song playing over it. Last year was Audrea Mae on a cover of Dylan's "Forever Young" as we watch how Donna's death is weighing on everyone late into that night. This one had Patty Griffin's "Mary" as Gemma was telling them about the attack. How we all knew she was doing what she thought was best to keep the club together..sacrificail, kinda.

Again, great episode

I liked this episode and it was very well written, however ultimately I'm a bit underwhelmed.

I believe Gemma telling Clay and Jax about what happened means that all of Clay and Jax's beef is on the back burner now, if not gone forever. The main thing now is to take care of Zobelle.

I also noticed in the previews that Jax has his VP patch back on and he grabbed them on the way out the door, I knew he was not leaving. Things are going to heat up between SAMCRO and the Skins for real. On the preview Clay asked Jax what he would do and he said "Kill em ALL!"

Is it Tuesday YET?

There are a lot of layers to this show. The Gemma thing shows how committed/calculating she is. She took something that was meant to hurt the club and played it at the point where it could bring the club back together.

Gemma earlier told the Doc that Clay woulnd't want her anymore because she was tainted. She wanted to feel desirable, but quickly reverted to a "victim mentality" when she turned around for Tig to be behind her. It wasn't about about Gemma and Tig as much as it was about Gemma and Clay.

I don't think that was it at all. I think Icehog really summed it up nicely. The psychology beyond that interaction was right on. Tig was also a wreck and needed validation. His whole reason for exiting has been in question/destroyed by killing Donna. He was a heartless badass but he had a very strict set of rules that made his role make sense. Killing Donna violated most of those and messed his ass up. He had been consistently slipping in each episode since then. I think the mushrooms opened the flood gates and he couldn't live with himself. I think he was ready to die when he admitted to killing Donna to Opie. I thought Opies reaction was pretty layered and nuanced. I definitely think the next few episodes are going to be a whole lotta hurt coming down on Zobelle. I still think that at some point Donna's death is going to be revisited. At least I hope so. Something like that doesn't just go away.

I had that thought as well. I also thought back to him and Gemma, when Tig told Clay "I've always got your back", and told him what Gemma needed at the end. It could be that he felt he was doing what he needed to do to help save their relationship. Either that or he felt guilty about what happened. Either way, it did seem like that wasn't the first time.

It could have been alluding to a previous history, sexual or non-sexual we have no idea about their pre-show timeline history.

To me it was more two pretty messed up people, with a lot of personal history desperately reaching out to someone else in a time of need. A misery loves company moment. Tig stepped back because he realized that having sex with Gemma would take him further down the road he started on when he killed Donna. I think that made him realize he would rather be dead than continue that way and the only way to stay alive was to come clean to Opie and face the consequences even if meant letting Opie kill him. IMHO that was one of the more profound and well done sequences I have seen on television.

So I'll give first impressions. Great episode, though BarneysFunGirl started doing the Jets v Sharks snap dance near the end, and was waiting for Brick and his trident to make an appearance..lol. I thought the "family" emphasis was very good. I think it helped to put faces on whom all that SAMCRO feels responsible.

I really liked the Tara/Jemma conversations that led to the Tara smackdown at the hospital. BarneysFunGirl works at a hospital (on the medical side) and could identify with the admin conflict.

I also really enjoyed Jax re-establishing himself as a bad arse with all the partners and with Weston (ahh, don't you love Rollins in that role) and Zobelle.

Best line--no question: Half a sack, s**t load of balls---still laughing over that one.

SPOILER WARNING!

Holy ****. So much happened last night. I will say, I am a little disappointed with Zoebelle being an FBI informant. That route just seemed too easy for the story line. If we are lucky he will be back to help make Season 3, however I think Cameron will be the main focus for SAMCRO in the beginning.

Gemma is on the run with Wayne Unser? Where is he taking her? Weird deal there. Who knew Stahl was so sneaky?

Here is my thoughts on that situation, maybe our Veteran Law Enforcement Officers can clarify. When Stahl shot the Young Irishman (cannot recall his name), she used her service weapon which was probably a .40 and when Gemma shot the blonde she used probably a .45 judging by the size of the gun. Wouldn't the GSR have been different from each round? So Gemma could have stayed and that evidence could have went to court and been proven through CSI type investigating? Am I way off here?

Kurt Sutter posted this on Twitter this morning:

"In response to one reviewer unimpressed by the finale cause "we would never kill a baby". clearly, he's never spent anytime inside my head."

What will happen to baby Abel? :(

Walt

The twist with Zoebelle was a little disappointing. While I never saw it coming, it just felt too easy.

The last few minutes were a little disturbing and had me right on the edge of my seat. While a bit disturbing, it played out fantastically. I had chills when Jax screamed and the end, and during the scene leading up to that.

I love this show to death, but I dread the long wait between seasons. The finale was a perfect setup for Season 3, there is just so much that could happen!

I was thinking the same thing about the guns, two weapons each would have different markings on the bullets. Gemma's mistake was touching Stahl's gun when she tossed it to her. Prints on both guns. Except prints would have shown she did not grip the handle or put a finger on the trigger.

I wonder if they are going to try and portray a similar relationship between Tara and Hale, like Unser and Gemma?

Just a few thoughts:

1) RIP Half-Sack. I will miss this character a lot - one of my favorites. Hate he is apparently gone for good and in such a pointless way. :(

2) Jimmy O. is apparently not very swift in dealing with rats. Edward and Cameron should have been gone already.

3) Gemma... running away with Unser? Really....? Not implying anything untoward - he is more of a father-figure. But what is that all about?

4) Is Sutter saying his mind is twisted enough to really do in Abel? Hope that doesn;t happen.

5) Stahl is smart... and evil! What a piece of work.

6) Gonna be a LONG wait for next season!!! :ss

Dion Giolito (Owner of Illusione) and I were talking about the finale on Twitter and he said he saw Sack dying all along, he said he was like the new guy on the Away Team in the old Star Trek.

You would reduce a great character to "Ensign #3", meanie. :tg

If all they wanted was a dead body, they could have killed a number of other members. Hell, they brought back the d-bag they burned the tat off of last season. I'm sure some of us would have been happy to see him go. (BTW, wtf was he doing there?!?! Is he back in good standing now?!?!) I think they wanted to heighten the drama by killing someone we actually cared about and they were able to do that without impacting their storyline options by taking out someone who is well known and well liked, but is basically a reactionary character. His character bio on FX's webpage describes him as having "more heart than brains". It seems this outcome was inevitable, yet is still heartbreaking.

I got my hopes up when Gemma followed Polly into the safehouse where Stahl was waiting. I thought my dream of a Gemma-Stahl throwdown was finally going to come true. But alas, it was not to be. I didn't think I could hate Stahl more than I did, but after her hijinks in this finale I'm praying for violent and painful end for her. Conniving, backstabbing, ruthless... I'm really sorry Opie didn't pull the trigger on her.

I'll end my rant there. More later.

Anyone else think Stahl signed her own death warrent the moment Gemma talks to Clay?

Nope. Stahl's going to get busted for her lies and pay the price, lose her job and end up in prison then one of the people she put behind bars is going to juke her with a prison shank! :banger

Speaking of shank. It was nice to see the guy in prison (cant remember his name) finally get some peace. Lord knows he has lost enough this season

Read an interview with Sutter that essentially said that Sack wasn't completely happy in his role and wanted a way out with dignity. Rather than keeping an actor on that wasn't 100% happy with the direction his character was going, he was killed off.

I get that... but I liked the character and what he brought to the show. Season 3 should be wide open!
(Assuming FX has ordered another season...)

Wish I remembered where I read the Sutter Interview. Season 3 is official and I believe it is on schedule for September. Another long wait it seems.

It's their highest rated show, therefore their cash-cow. No way they would cancel it.

Finally got around to watching this... I can't believe they killed Sack. I'm torn on the episode. It was a great episode, but I hated so much of what happened in it. Zobel is alive, Sack is dead, Gemma is framed for one of the two murders she is wanted for and Abel is kidnapped. I mean, they have to build up for next season, but damn.

Kurt Sutter reported on his blog that he and FX made a deal and their will be a Season 3. The finale of Season 2 had over 5 million viewers.

i like shows that don't leave cliff hangers till next season, they end it and start over the following season, like dexter. You can still have a great show without stupid cliff hangers. I'm dissapointed in Soa but obviously still a big fan

Kinda spoke too soon;). The story arc is over, but that finale left a whole lot of unanswered questions.
