Nice Greg!

Thanks, Shane!:D It's Really Small With A 2.41" Blade, But The Double Edge Runs The Length Of The Blade, So It's Only About 1" Shorter Than My Microtech L-UDT (3.4") & Much Lighter @ 1.2 Oz.!:tu

I rather like the look of the Cryo?

They are great affordable little knives. I prefer the ZT 0550 though, bigger, better materials and just an awesome blade.:2
But I do not like flippers, personal preference only. I carry a knife everyday, and use it a lot more than I think. If I forget it one morning I am lost without it.
I know bigger isn't for most though, but for me it is perfect. I mix the 0550 with my Strider SnG. Both amazing blades although the Strider is much more money and I would favor them evenly.

Oh no kind sir, that's not what I intended to say. My small sebenza gets carried and used (mainly on weekends) as I don't want the pocket clip tearing up my slacks at work. I paid a decent amount of cash on a finely crafted cutting tool, I want to enjoy carrying it and using it. When the blade dulls, I'll send it in for a service and sharpening. When my son is old enough I want to pass down a used and well taken care of knife that he has memories of me carrying and using, not something that just sat in a safe for years.

A little flitz and some elbow grease or judicious use of a dremel-ish tool will do wonders. Initially? I would take some Barkeepers friend to it after cleaning with some carb cleaner to de-gunk and start with a clean knife to start with.

Mac, if you want to just take off the rust, but leave the patina that's developed on it over the years, the 0000 steel wool and elbow grease. Then coat the blades (and handle if it's bone or stag) in a thin film of oil, I use mineral oil you can get at any pharmacy. This will give you a clean, protected knife that still shows the well earned marks of a lifetime of use. Just my :2

These are my knives. All the knives in the top photo will shave the hair off your arm and are my Sunday knives. Two Colts, a Schrade with a white bone handle and Uncle Henry stag.
http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k9/MikeSr63/1512426_747437901934664_520822498_n_zpse6b74f8e.jp g (http://s84.photobucket.com/user/MikeSr63/media/1512426_747437901934664_520822498_n_zpse6b74f8e.jp g.html)

The bottom photo are my working knives. Starting from the left is the Schrade my father gave me in 1976. I carried it on my web belt in the military for 10 years. Below that is a slim Buck knife. I removed the clip and it's a awesome pocket knife. The Gerber pouch goes with the rubber/gray handle Gerber. A super smooth easy opening knife you can open with one hand every time. The hunter is a Winchester that has the sharpest blade I've experienced. The red and white knife is a Uncle Henry two blade, both as long as the handle. The ebony wood handle knife is a Sharp 200 with a 3 1/2 inch blade. Next to that is a Master Barlow my dad gave me in 1975. The Master Barlow and Sharp are the only two here that will not shave the hair off your arm.

This is my steady. I only have pocket knives and I don't have a rotation set. I carry the same one until I lose it or I get an overwhelming desire to change (which I never do). It's my box-opening, fish tackle-mending, leftover steak-slicing, general purpose everything you want it to do piece. I hit it on the sharpener every few months, but it rarely needs much maintenance. Probably have 4 years on it. Picture below is stock - mine has a little more patina. My mom gave my BIL and me these for Christmas as a Buck Collector’s Edition 2-knife set; 379 Solo and a 373 Trio. Neither of us use the 379 Solo. He broke the point off the big blade in the 373 within a year, but he still carries it.

I feel lost is it's not in my pocket.

I've always carried a victorinox swiss army in my pocket - currently the small tinker model.

Not exactly a pocket knife but I've carried a KA-BAR last ditch neck knife for years. Weighs less than an ounce and could be a good thing if, like me, you're too old to either run as fast or fight as well as you used to but don't want to conceal a gun. Thankfully I've never had to resort to it. I am thinking I might retire it one day in favor of a Brous Silent Soldier. Significantly heavier though at 3.2 oz with sheath but it looks beatifully made and facilitates many more grip alternatives than the ka-bar.

It is a Boker collab you can find for around $40. The maker, Ram Maramba of ZERO knives, passed away a few months ago. It was tragic to say the least since he was only 36. I was lucky enough to get one of his custom pieces and although I don't buy right-handed knives, I went ahead and picked up the Boker Sulaco in remembrance of him.

Here's the custom Habu.

Working security at a club I often hold onto the knives and pepper spray of our patrons. Although I never intend to keep them, I have had 6-7 knives and a few pepper spray canisters come home with me at the end of the night. Most of the knives are junk, but I do have a decently working Kershaw from there. That, and a tiny buck knife. Still, I don't carry any of them. They stay in a door for opening up letters now.

I grew up carrying mid to large sized folders. (benchmade mini griptillian, SOG Vulcan). It just seemed natural to have a full sized tool. But I moved to Venezuela 3 years ago, and legal blade size is limited to 5cm / 1.95". *DOH*! Many Europeans are in a similar situation, and further limited legally to only carry folders without locking mechanisms.

So I thought I'd contribute an enthusiastic plug for my current EDC, a Boker Plus Subcom Titan. If you're in any situation where you need a smaller knife due to work/legal/whatever, this is the "small" knife that replaced my big one!

I won't go into detailed reviews, plenty of those to be found. I'll just share what it is to me. It's a sharp blade for the price, short but very tall. The wide, square geometry of the blade and the handle makes it feel very full and VERY secure in the hand. I'd handled full size folders that felt less secure in the hand than this one. The overall knife is not very thick, so it sits flat and unobtrusively in the pocket. The solid, perfectly designed geometry means that I can deploy it one handed very quickly without much thought, and likewise close it one handeded without too much effort. Yeah, not as quick as my Benchmade, but not slow either! This also happens to be one of the few liner/frame lock style knives I like.

Boker makes two versions (and a plethora of sub-variants). A regular plastic handled version, and a titanium handled. I picked up both, because I usually go for functionality over looks. To my surprise, I discovered the plastic thumb stud design was my deciding factor between the two. The plastic version is very popular, with plenty of good reviews... but dang it all, I just couldn’t open and close it comfortably with one hand! I really DISliked the regular subcom, which surprised me.

The Titan seems to come in two variants now. A becoming harder to find $33 version with 440C steel (mine), and a $67 version with VG-10 steel. I'm perfectly happy with the 440C on mine, given the size and pricing. I don't feel any urge to upgrade.

If you're in the market for physically smallest knife possible that still feels like 90% of a full size knife, THIS. IS. THE. ONE.
If you don't care about physical size dimensions, only legality, Boker makes a "Boker Plus Nano" knife now that may be worth checking out. It's much bigger, but the same legal sized sub-2" blade.

IF you're in a country or municipality that does not allow lockback folders, then any folder in the boker line with the "42" designation is what you want. They make them for the Subcom and the Nano. Once again, be warned, if you pick up a boker knife with "42" in the name, IT IS NOT LOCKING. I'm planning on purchasing a Subcom 42 sometime this year for use in future European travel.

3-finger grip, but because the body is so wide, it's a SOLID grip.
I have SMALL hands, wear size S gloves usually.

Compared to my SOG Mini Vulcan (3" blade). You can see how the frame of the boker is thinner and sits flatter in a pocket, YET is wider than the full-size SOG, giving it a great full feeling in the hand.

CRKT Minimalist thrown in for pic comparison as well.

I have a nice collection of Case knives my dad, grandfather and I have been working on. Love they way they look and feel, and its nice to know they've been in great men's hands.

I'll try to grab a couple pics tonight.

Here's one I haven't posted yet. It is a button lock flipper by Rod Olson out of Canada.

Couple of new CRKT folders, the larger M-21 is for work and the small Pilar is an EDC.

Here are a few newer knives, all lefty of course. ;) The last one is a limited production left-handed Gemini by Kizer knives. The Gemini is available in regular production for you righties and run about $170 for full titanium framelock and $80 for the G10 linerlock version.

Very nice! What is the 1st one?

Thank you Sir!

The first one is a knife by a South African maker, Jason Guthrie, or JG Customs.

I actually have 3 of his knives.

Stopped by the knife shop on the way to the office this morning to pick up an early birthday present for myself. I was planning on getting a Benchmade 940-1 (the carbon fiber one), but wound up walking out with this instead:

Zero Tolerance 0460. It's a Sinkevich design and I'm totally digging it. I've owned (and sadly lost) a 940 before and really liked the 940-1, but this one I just had to have.
