Yep, here I am again, fighting of the effects of Fiber One bars. Those 1.4 oz bars can produce 90 lbs of CO2 in a day's time. They must be a miracle of modern science. The doc told me to add more fiber to my diet so the wife's been buying these things for a while. They're tasty as hell, but my gracious, do they wreck me. I spend an hour a day crop dusting the hallways. I figured I'd eventually get used to them. Not. It sucks when you're stuck somewhere, your gut's boiling, and you have no where to degas. Late afternoon meetings kill me.

Man, I made the mistake (a BIG one) of taking some of those on a backpacking trip with me once. Between the fiber bars and the wild blueberries we were picking trailside...whew!

FWIW, I had two bowls of the Fiber One Honey Clusters cereal this morning for breakfast and it has the same effect on me. I've been getting dirty looks from the dogs all day long.

Since we're now discussing flatulence, is anyone else reminded of Gene Simmons when seeing the Fiber One commercials on television?

Fiber one farts are the worst. Imagine being a teacher, teaching 90 minute periods. I remember being in band, and just yelling at the kids, "PLAY LOUD!!! LOUDER!!!"

Go to Costco - they sell boxes of 30. Eat one for breakfast, one for lunch, and one for supper. It's the damnest thing you'll ever experience. Hell, eat 2 or 3 a few hours before you go golfing with your buddies. You'll be the hit of the day and they'll go home with a new hero. My kids see them coming out of the pantry and they start with the "oh no, not the fart bars again!"

To those who think I'm kidding...and want a good laugh!

On a tangent...had a discussion the other day with some friends from South Africa about local colloquialisms that they confroted when they first came to America. This was one that really cracked him up!

I can laugh because I eat them too, had one this morning as a matter of fact. The problem is I read your post while on the phone with my wife listening to her complain about our kids fussing and fighting today. Not the best time to be trying to hold in laughter!

I love these too - I always have some in the house and I usually take one to work to have mid-morning. My coworkers, well I'm not sure they like them as much... :pn

Now the bars don't really have that effect on me but the cereal . My God , Damn the torpedoes ! The cereal makes me phart so much that my balloon not gets sore from all the flapping and vibrating . Couldn't finish the box and when I mentioned it to my father in-law he just shook his head back and forth saying "man oh man" pointing with his thumb sideways at my mother in-law . :r

Man, I remember back in the days before wireless headsets, I sat next to a bodybuilder who ate protein sups, bananas, eqqs, etc. literally every 2 hours. His favorite work pastime was waiting for one of the engineers to get on a conference call. He would then proceed to enter their office, drop multiple nukes then, smiling ear to ear, walk out of the office closing the door behind him.

Just getrting to this thread, but wanted to pffer a few opinions:
They make a good yogurt - not as much methane produced.
The cereal will hurt you (and others)
my favorite: 2 bars on an empty stomach...with 2 apples shortly after. GREAT results will happen!! :r
