So not to keep everyone reading forever, I've been dealing with some severe lower back pain and flank pain for the last 4 or 5 days. I went to the Dr. and they gave me some antibiotics and told me they had no idea why I was having the pain.
It was not getting better so last night I went to the ER. The ER doctor took blood, urine, did a CT, and an X-ray. He assumed I had kidney stones, I was praying for NO kidney stones. I've heard horror stories. Anyway, he comes back and says no kidney stones, no kidney infection, no kidney failure (phew), and says I have a viral in my lower abdomen -- has anyone ever heard of this?
Oddly the remedy? A shot of steroids in the ass. I feel tons better today.
I just wanted to share and see if anyone had a similar experience?

I had a lower ab virus several years ago...they had a scientific name for the specific virus but I do not remember it. I was given oral medicine, not a shot in the hind end.

Never heard of it. Glad you're feeling better, though. I know from your FB posts you had a crappy weekend.

I know since you're Army, it's hard for you to understand something more than a few words without a "HOORAH" involved, but I never mentioned roids.

Darrell,
I'm sorry some here have made light of your situation. I just want to say that I like you and respect you even though you get poked in the rear every time you get sick.

mmm, was it Manmeatstiffosorous? Did you have Manmeatstiffosorous up your bottom? I THINK this would give me back pains. The flank pains is probably from him holding on too tight, easy soldier, easy.
Seriously, keep a check on it. I had gall stones a while back and that was no fun and the symptoms sounds very similar to this. If they repeat make sure you get ultra-sound on your abdomen.
Lay off the C*ck Big-D... one more question, did you also have a sore throat?
