View Full Version : What's on your "Gotta get " list?

I keep a regular list, so I don't go crazy.
It looks like this:
El Cobre Torpedos
El Originals Tor Maduros
Avo Maduro #9's
Litto Gomez Chisels or Lusitanos
Blue Band Oliva O's Ovations and Oasis's
Old Henry Maduro Toros
Sancho Panza Extra Fuerte Pamplonas
Padilla Habano Torpedoes
Padilla Artisans or Burberry's
Padilla Oscuro '68 Salamones (if they ever really materialize)
Tampa Sweetheart Maduros
Cuaba Divinos

What's your "gotta get" list look like?
Just wanted to see if anyone else was worse off than me.
Now it's not to say that I don't have any of these cigars, cause I don't think I'm out of any but the Old Henry Maduros, but I like to make a priority list so I don't buy stuff before I get the stuff I really want.
It doesn't work at all, but I like to make believe it helps. :D
Do any of you other guys or girls keep a list?

Oliva V figurado
La Aroma de Cuba Especial Edition #5

That should be good for awhile.

No list for me. I am pretty much done with NC's although I still pick up an occasional box. Recently picked up a box of Augusto Reyes Nativo Lanceros at 25% of retail. I also have no CC list, mostly I buy what catches my eye and is priced well. But I am willing to try just about anything because you never know what is coming around the corner. Recently tried the 2009 Tat Conjonu, the best Tat I have had and fantastic for something so fresh. :tu

What's your "gotta get" list look like?

Gee Scott, the first thing that popped into my mind when I first saw this thread was "A Porche 911 SC" but then I floated back down to earth...

Probably a bundle of each:

Reserva Miraflor Robustos
Taboo LR Havana Robustos

Bax

Padilla Artisans or Burberry's...

They just had a 5-pack deal on these in CI and I missed them. Not sure how
well they smoke, but I've been looking for neat give aways for the birth of my son next month and these would have been perfect.

My gotta get list is pretty simple really. It's things I haven't tried but hear they are very good, or cheapies I haven't got around to buying yet.

San Cristobal
Illusiones
Tatuaje (especially Pork Chop)
Rocky Patel Double Maduro
CAO Criollo
Nica Libre
Anything Indian Tabac
VigilantE Maduro

Great question. I've been loading the new Mobile Stogie app, and there is a section for a "wish list." I guess it is to help with shopping if you bust out your iphone in the B&M humidor. Mine is blank, at the moment.

Honestly, I'm pretty good on the NC front, for now. There are a few that are intriguing that I don't see too often.
Padillas -- I've had one Miami, but that's it
Devil's Weed -- never seen it in a store
Pinar del Rio

My CC experience is so limited, that anything is a treat.

I'll have to revisit this.

I have never smoked, nor even seen a cuban cigar...so I would have to say cuban cigars are on my gotta get list.

Lifetime supply of router bits

Oh wait, you were talking cigars :D

I have been very blessed and tried many good and bad cigars.

I use to have a list but now I just smoke what I got :tu

It sure doesn't hurt to bomb a couple guys, that's for sure.
I've been watching closely to see if I'm "missing out" on anything, or if there's something I haven't thought of that I might like to try.
Nothing so far, so I feel safe. :)

On the bombing side, I wish I knew Haliburton wanted to try the stuff he mentioned, cause a couple weeks ago I could have filled half his list. :)

Honestly, my list is a list of boxes or bundles that I have to get.
None are cigars that I haven't tried. They're all stuff I've either tried and want more of, or stuff I always keep and am running out of, with the exception of the Artisan. I want them for my display humi cause they look awesome.
The list keeps my "Huh, maybe I should go ahead and buy that" in check, to some extent.
Didn't work well this week, cause I made a big order of stuff that mostly was not on my list, then I cancelled it.
Then I made a little order cause the deal was way too sick not to grab.
I saved a couple hundred bucks because of "The List" though, so that's cool. :)

I've been enjoying NC's recently, luckily I've amassed a large CC collection for when I want them again. As for NC's I want to get some of:

DPG Blue
DPG JJ Maduro
601 Blue
601 Black

On the CC side, I need more Siglo II's.

The 601 Reds are the cream of the 601 crop. Don't miss trying them, D.
I don't care for the greens or blacks. Had an original 601 Blue a few nights ago and it was awesome. But the reds beat the blues.
The blacks are just like the DPG Cuban Classic (DPG black). To me, anyways. Don't like them at all.
You can't go wrong with the dpg blue and jj maduro. Every time I smoke the blue, I wish it had the maduro sweetness, but they are so good I smoke them anyways. :)

I had a box of the original release Red's. I ended up giving them away at our first BABOTL herf -- they did not do it for me. I have not had one in a while so after I kick this kidney infection and sinus infection I'll grab one.

I just stuck a couple reds in my travel humi for tonight's picnic just cause you reminded me. :)
They need about a year to get good. Mine are all plenty old, and they are so good. I might not make it to the picnic before I burn one.

SO many I want to try, but if I narrowed it down to my top 5 (whether I've tried them or not), they would be:

2. Punch Punch ( NC ) - love these, especially the Double Maduros
3. Any Monte ( CC ) - haven't tried
4. Sancho Panza DM ( NC ) - love these, would like to keep a box on hand at all times
5. Oliva V - they's nice, mmm hmmm, oh yeah

Scott, if you are looking for someone worse off, you found him.

My list has 43 cigars on a spread sheet with the current low price from Cigarcyclopedia and vendor listed.

When a special comes up and has a better price I buy it.

The list is based on cigars I recently smoked and liked or favorites from my collection that are running low.

Usually the list is not this long, but pricing of late has not been real good and my cigar budget is a little tight.
