Yes this was partialy inspired by Skywalker's thread, but I've been looking to expand my horizon's on morning smokes. I tend to enjoy Fruity/Floral smokes in the morning.

So I ask what cigar made you feel like you were smoking the Chekita Banana lady's hat?

Andrew, I'm flattered!!!

Perdomo Reserve Champagne was my first thought from your description. I swear the first one I smoked tasted just like bananas!!! Not a flavor I appreciate is a cigar, however many people like these!!!

Punch Royal Coronation tubo (NC). These have a great lemon/citrus flavor. It's the only nc Punch that I really enjoy.

have you ever considered smoking on a hookah? you'd be able to find more direct floral/fruit flavor this way.

I think he means non artificial floral found in many cigars, I have found it in a few NCs but mostly Cubans especially RyJ and PL

The most floral cigar I've ever had was a Romeo y Julieta Short Churchill. It's the only cigar I've had that I would say was predominantly floral.

One that stands out as sweet/fruity/floral to me is the Hoyo Epi#2.

Closest thing resembling fruit flavors I have had, was something of an orange flavor in a Graycliff Crystal Pirate. :tu

I would ask Al. Al has been after floral cigars as long as I've been around on this board. He may have some direction for you.

Darrell, I thought it was going to be that La Gloria that Bob handed out... but I was wrong.

Mine would have to be a cigar out of the Acid line.

Can't really recal floral much on anything... lot's more to try, though:tu

This man speaks the truth. I enjoy hookah from time to time. I like some fruit flavors, but mainly enjoy spicy or traditional flavors. I like my cigars to taste like tobacoo with subtle nuances that occur naturally not intentionally flavored or "infused".

I understood this thread to mean not intentionally flavored or "infused" and to run with that I had a XXXXXXX CCC made in Geneva from Dominican Tobacco that tasted like I was eating Chrysanthemums or Jasmine.

I'll say the LGC Medaille d'Or #'s 1 and 4 (CC's)

I have only ever had one.... But the H. Upman Connoisseur #1 that I smoked was wicked floral.
I'll have to try more before I can say that all of 'em are like this.

As far as NC's go I would recommend:

Por Larranaga Cabinet Seleccion
Cabaiguan
Davidoff Millenium
RyJ Reserva Real

Can't speak to the fruit angle but I do love floral. No expert mind you but I think of potpourri/floral when I and I stress I smoke these. Most are very reasonably priced.

This is old but it might help CLICK ME (http://www.cigarasylum.com/vb/showthread.php?t=529)

And another CLICK ME (http://www.cigarasylum.com/vb/showthread.php?t=12306&highlight=floral)

As you will see not everyone will agree but that's what makes the hunt so much fun.

I would suggest you by a couple of singles of the ones you want to try before a box purchase to make sure they are "floral" to YOU.

Enjoy.

Edit: Adding this CLICK ME (http://www.cigarasylum.com/vb/showthread.php?t=2412) Dustin did a great job with this and it might help.

On the NC side, I've found these:

Oliva Angel 1961: honeysuckle
Casa Royale from Holt's: a DPG blend that was floral, minty and had a citrusy bite
H. Upmann Cameroon: a tangy fruit

On the cc side, the HdM Epi is probably the most floral I've found so far.

LGC MdO #2. I understand the entire LGC MdO line is supposed to have a fruity profile, but I havent gotten around to sampling them all yet.

Thank you fellas, lot of good suggestions in here. Just to clearify deffinatly NON-infused cigars and unfortunatly Habonos are not an option. Looks like there's a few suggestions I'll be inestigating :tu

I thought the Taboo Twist had a fruity profile...citrus. It's a mild-medium profile too, perfect for morning coffee IMO.

One of the new LGC regionals, the Gloriosos, was very floral to me. As well as their whole line, esp. the #3.

Ramon Allones 898s can also have a little fruit flavor to them as well.

Most floral would be the R&J Short Churchill.

Most fruity would be a Hoyo Epicure No. 1

I found the El Cobre robusto to have a taste of cherries, like cherry pie. There was also a floral note to the aroma, sweet like a flowering jonquil or magnolia.....both in one smoke....I found the cigar very enjoyable and will smoke them again.

I found the Toranos Noventa 90 series to have a very floral flavor profile. Very mild though, not my kind of stick.

Cigars that struck me as fruity were the La Gloria Cubana Medaille D'Or No. 1, Saint Luis Rey Serie 'A', Hoyo de Monterrey Epicure No. 1 and Punch Double Corona. That's what immediately comes to mind right now at least.
