So as some of you may know we (My Family and I) love to take our 35ft Trailer to various RV parks from full service to dry camping and enjoy our time together.

If you have ever set up an RV you know it has stabilizing jacks at all four corners and you use a crank to screw jack them up and down. In my case I use a cordless drill to get them snug then the hand crank to firm it up.

Invariably I leave the hand crank on the ground and forget it there. I have gone through 4 of them in the last two years, just picked up 3 new ones yesterday. Now at 12 bucks it isn't horrible but you would think after a couple I would burn it into my brain.

As the title says I am not generally absent minded, I rember things well, don't lose things..............but this one just kills me, it seems like every second trip I leave the damn crank behind.

What if any absent minded quirks do you have???

Dummy cord the crank to the cordless drill.

attach it with 10 feet of nylon rope. When you are dragging it down the road, the pointing and laughing will be the cue that you forgot to put it away.

Last time the inlaws took our kids camping, my father-in-law placed his glasses on the hard top of their tent trailer before cranking it up. Took him hours to find them.

I'll put something down and forget where I put it. Tool, pen, pencil, remote, etc.

I smoked a cigar from the lit end today. Briefly. Very briefly. I was trying to hold the cigar, keep it burning, and refill a lighter at the same time. Got things turned around in my hands and put the wrong end in my mouth. Ouch. Now that's absentminded.

Heard that many times before, but hasn't happened to me, "Yet"!:r

I'm real bad when I travel. Hit one of the local malls with the rental car and darn it if I can't find the thing. Thankfully most of them have the key chain alarms but I have had to get a taxi a couple times to drive around and find it.

That is frustrating to say the least.
