It was a great game. BTW, that ref should never work another match after seeing him pull out that red card. Horrible call.

Great game; loved watching the USA beat the No 1 team. Although we did have a little bit of luck on our side and I thought our keeper did an EXCELLENT job.

However, I couldn't really figure out what the red card was for...

I've always heard it would take a big win for US soccer to get back on the map again and gain the large following soccer gets worldwide.

I really don't think even winning the world cup would do it. Its not about understanding the game or playing the game its just that we as Americans have so many entertainment options that soccer will likely just remain a niche sport here.

Just as baseball or football aren't popular in other countries, soccer will never gain the popularity enjoyed in other countries.

I want to see the US win anything on the world stage but I hate it when all of the soccer elitists complain that we "just don't get it" or are too stupid to understand the game.

Soccer is just really slow, boring hockey. There's really nothing to "get".
(I coached soccer for 6 or 7 years, won 4 season championships. Lots of days I'd rather have gone to a dentist appointment.)

That's alright, lets see Brazil put together a football team and try to go across the middle against Ray Lewis or put together a D line that could contain Adrian Peterson!

I'd love to see Manning or Brady pick apart the Brazilian D!

As strong as the field play has been, Tim Howard has been spectacular.

Between Donovan and Howard, I don't know who has had the most impact!

Donovan has the one goal and a few intangible effort plays...
But, Howard has the one point blank save and a couple of screamers that he's knocked away!

This isn't a dream, this is history in the making!:tu

This is what I hate about our team. We stop doing what got us there. We were pressuring and keeping possession in the first half. The second half comes and we stop doing that. We give away possession, we stop pressuring and make stupid subs. Why are Sasha and Borenstein in the game? They have done nothing to show they belong on the pitch.

Great first half but the US is not a world class team.

Can anyone say with a straight face that the US, down 2-0 to Brazil at the half, could come back and win 3-2?

This is the result we expected. Just wished they hadn't given us so much hope along the way. I am proud of them. They played much better than I gave them credit for.
