This was another Bind Taste Test I did from Savor The Stick

I smoked Kevin's #5 cigar today. It was about 4.5"x46rg box pressed maduro. Looked tasty. Not a perfect looking cigar, but there were little to no veins. It was firm all the way through and had a slightly messy foot. It may have been triple capped but the cap job was pretty sloppy so I couldn't really tell.

It cut fine and the prelight draw was uneventful, but easy. Some brown dyes came off on my fingers and the paper I was jotting notes on. Thought that was odd. It lit easily and burned well. The very first puff almost turned me off as there was a very pronounced metal flavor. That died down in the next two or three puffs. It yielded LOTS of smoke and was very peppery in the first 1/8th to 1/4". Finish was very smooth and left a nice cocoa flavor in my mouth.

About half an inch in, the finish turned into chocolate chip cookies. I was impressed, and liked this a lot. the ash was very white. It started flaking a little but did not have any trouble hanging on.It went out on me right after I took this picture.

I lit it again and was able to smoke about 1/2" before it died again. At this point I gave up, even though the finish was so yummy. I get frustrated eaily when I can't keep a cigar lit or it refuses to burn evenly. This one burned great and evenly by the way.

The SPDMQ is one of my favorite smokes in the whole wide world.
Gotts keep the RH down to around 64% to keep them lit and keep them burning straight. :tu
