A friend of mine is looking to pick up some cigars for his Dad, I'm not really a mild bodied cigar smoker so any suggestions on some good mild body cigars.

Hmmm. Any of the oliva series O comes to mind right away. Monte cristo white also. 5 vegas gold. Flor de oliva is a good mild bundle cigar.

Oliva G. Great flavors in a milder smoke.
Nobody mentioned Padron yet so I'll add that one to the list. I picked up a 3000m for my dad last time we played golf and he seemed to enjoy it.

Two words: Casa Torano :tu Mild in strength, med to full in body. Creamy, sweet and even buttery, imo.

I've been extremely impressed with Gran Habano Connecticut robustos. I have a box and smoke them on Saturday mornings with a cup of coffee. Well recommended. Another good choice would be Fuente Sun Grown series.

Depending on how mild you want to go I've always been impressed by 3x3 Robustos and they are cheap too

Well since it's Father's day, I'd hit the Davidoff section. Anything from the thousand series (personaly preference for 6k or 4k, but 2k has a nice tubo) will be very mild and have a clean, classic taste.

Some of my favorite "breakfast smokes" include:
5 Vegas Gold
El Rey del Mundo (natural)
Nestor Reserve Connecticut
Carlos Torano Casa Torano
Perdomo Champagne
Vega Fina
Flor de Murias
I'd probably go with the ERdM's, as they're available almost everywhere.

The Perdomo Fresh Rolled Cuban Wheels are a decent smoke and are very mild and with a month of aging it gets milder and tastes slightly better. Not at a top shelf cigar by any stretch but it is fairly good.

Macanudo- most are varying degrees of mild and are well made and one of the top selling brands in the USA.

A great value too. But for Father's Day I might go with Ashton white label or AVO classic.

The Griffins is probably one of the best mild cigars out there. The construction and appearance are exceptional and they have a real nice flavor if a little mild. Just as a note, Oliva Serie O would be more of a medium and the G Cameroon is definately milder than the G Maduro.:tu
