I just uninstalled CA security from my computer. It was too slow. What do you folks recommend?

I'm curious, were you running the entire suite:
• Anti-Virus
• Anti-Spyware
• Personal Firewall
• Anti-Spam
• Anti-Phishing
• Parental Controls
• CA Backup and Migration
Or just the Anti-Virus software? If you were running the entire suite, did you try turning off (if you can) all features but the A/V?

I was running the entire suite, but did not have the password to disable the parental controls. If I had I may have just uninstalled that. The only way I could get rid of the parental controls was to get rid of the whole thing.
Thanks for the tip on AVG Free. I will download it shortly.

I use ESET Smart Security. Very small software, it's a lightweight compared to most security suites. I love it. It uses little cpu or memory, it's very fast and easy to use.

AVG and NOD32 "ESET" are both great. I have heard, if you have no security for as little as 20 minutes, you are vulnerable to a virus attack.
