Don't know how many of you here are archers, but just got a new toy - a Bowtech Sniper. I had an old Hoyt Flashpoint Heat, I think I got it in 1997, so it was time. I cannot believe how smooth this bow shoots, and it is the low-end of the Bowtech line. I've been saving for this for about 9 months, a little away every pay period. I knew I was getting a new bow, and that it would be a Bowtech, but not which one. So, as I was shooting with my sons at a 4-H Shooting Sports event, and after 140 arrows my arm was fatigued, I figured it was time for a new bow. Nathan, my oldest figured it had something to do with wheelbarrows and two days of digging and laying paving bricks. I wasn't going to concede that point. Of course, if I would have, I could have saved up for a couple more months and maybe purchased one of the higher end bows, but...
Here's a pic of me with my Bowtech Sniper - and a link to the Bowtech Sniper page for those who want more information about this great weapon. Oh, and it is made in USA!!! :tu

I do more shooting than hunting. Bow I just replaced, I had for 12 years - never shot at a deer with it. Last year, I never got out in the woods with the bow. However, I shoot in an archery league with my eldest son - and shoot 4-H shoots with both boys.
I have shot pheasant, rabbit, and raccoon with bow though - just never a deer.

I got my first bow when I was 5. Then at 13 got a long bow and at 16 my dad gave me a 120 year old indian long bow. Good times. Then I got sick and my parents sold our camp and diddnt let me get them back. Now I havent shot one in 5+ years. May be time to dig my most recent compound bow and have another go.

Make sure you change clothes first. I'm pretty sure deer can spot a baby blue shirt with pink writing :r
