Congrats...glad you liked it. :tu
I ran one about 12 years ago and that was more than enough to get it out of my system. ;)

i figure if i schedule myself to run one every 6 weeks or so (or however often they are shceduled around here), it will keep me going to the gym and working out.
i tend to slack off with the whole gym thing if i don't have a reason that i need to get in shape for. so hey, say goodbye to these 15 extra pounds that i have.

Nice work. Congrats on finding something you enjoy that is a good workout (that's the hardest part).
I started running 5k's a few weeks ago with the AF X-C Club on base. We run a 5k every Tuesday. It's really the only time I actually have fun running. I might start training up to run longer distances, maybe a 10k in the next month and maybe a half marathon by the end of summer. We'll see...

When i saw the 5K thread title I thought it was referring to a cigar budget. Not something i'll ever be doing but I'm glad you are enjoying it!

Have run 5Ks, 5 milers, and 10Ks. Hoping to run again once I can get rid of lower back pain.
