So I'm at work today - Blue SMoke Cigar Bar. A guy comes in and asks for Scott. For some stupid reason I think he's looking for the other Scott who works there and somehow magically I convince this guy that he's not looking for me.
We talk casually. He has an adult beverage and on Oliva MasterBlend 3. We talk with a couple other customers. I tell the story of how the MB# I smoked 2 weeks ago kicked my A$$ and how I loved it. Blah. Blah. Blah.
All of a sudden this guy says, "I hear a few people from CigarAsylum hang out here." I'm :jd I mean how does the guy know about CigarAsylum?
After he tells me his name is Jay, (aka jaycarla), I magically wake up and say HEY it's me TripleF.
Sheesh, what a knucklehead.....uhhhh no man, Scott's not here. DUH.
(I was actually expecting him tomorrow and may not have acted sooooooo wack if he'd a come when I thought he was going to).
Anyhow we smoked and chatted and what a pleasure it was to meet Jay.
One of the customers snapped a pic and e-mailed it to me.
Jay's on the left:

It's ok... you're old like hell. We understand. Look on the bright side, in a few months when you move into a nursing home you probably won't even remember where you are. :D

I've learned a valuable lesson today. From now on when I ask for someone I will have a follow up question to be sure if they say they are not around.
Scott, thanks again! If anyone passes through the Blue Smoke, just wear a name tag, will speed things along!

Looks like a good time Scott and Jay! As far as forgetting your name Scott...it happens to everyone when they get to that special time of life....
As we get older we are allowed to forget things, except by our wives.:tu

Scott, I am going to appologize to you for making age-related jokes. Since I picked on you I have been infected with a full blown case of CRAFT. Went in the kitchen 3 times before I remembered what I was looking for, a cigar from the humidor on the kitchen table. :D

That's pretty funny. When I was a kid I worked in a grocery store and had a name tag on my uniform,a few people called me by my first name just in conversation and it took me a good hour to figure out how I knew them. Hadn't realized they were just reading my name tag.
