Could not have happened to a better person.
The guy is a turd, him and Boras shot their way out of Boston with fake injury's and throwing a 67 year old travailing secretary to the ground.
Every year Dana Farber cancer hospital brings a lot of kids to spring training to meet the players, in eight years he is the only red sox that would not go over and spend a few minutes just to say hello.

Doesn't surprise me one bit....check that...surprises me that he got caught.

MedicCook

He is going to lose over $7M also since during a PED suspension the player does not get paid.
Manny is saying he testeed positive from a drug his doctor is giving him.

And to quote Robin Williams on this subject "Marijuana enhances many things, colors, flavors, sensations, but you are certainly not ****ing empowered. When you're stoned, you're lucky if you can find your own goddamn feet. The only way it's a performance-enhancing drug is if there's a big ****ing Hershey bar at the end of the run. Then you'll be like a Swiss ski jumper going, "I'm there!" "

If baseball didn't have this kind of thing to talk about what would they talk about? :hm

- 4hr pitching duels
- The first base stare down
- Long fly balls
- Foul balls
- The grounder
- Shading him slightly left
- The pitch selection
- Wild pitch
- Infield pop up
- Meetings at the mound

I'm really trying to understand the excitement of this game.

Please help. :al

Jack sure knows how to take a pitch......
Ohhhhh, there's ball one... did you see the way he just watched that one go by??
Amazing, what technique."

Hockey comes to mind. People think hockey is a sport. It's not. Hockey is three activities taking place at the same time: ice skating, fooling around with a puck, and beating the **** out of somebody. If these guys had more brains then teeth, they'd do these things one at a time. First go ice-skating, then fool around with a puck, then you go to the bar and beat the **** out of somebody. The day would last longer, and these guys would have a lot more fun. Another reason why hockey isn't a sport is that it's not played with a ball. Anything not played with a ball can't be a sport. These are my rules, I make 'em up.:tu

If you don't like baseball, don't post in baseball thread. I don't like hockey or soccer, but you don't see me jumping into their discussions making jokes about how boring they are and demanding explanations why people like them.

EDIT: On topic, about Manny, not surprised. I will admit I did take some glee reminding some friends what a big part that juicing cheater was to 2 Boston WS wins.

Not sure where a demand was made.

I looked at it as having a different opinion like with cigars. Some like a certain Marca or what have you and some don't. People are allowed to voice their opinion either way.

To Smitty and all baseball fans I might have offended please accept my public apology. No harm was intended.

The jokes about the boring aspects of the game? What sport doesn't have certain elements about it that are mundane? How about focusing on the fun aspects of the game. Home runs are exciting. Stolen bases are exciting. Strike outs are exciting. Clutch hitting is exciting. Clutch pitching is exciting. The rivalries are exciting. I could go on and on and on, but I think that answers your question.

I despise Manny for dogging his way out of Boston but it seems here that his problem was not taking the list of proscribed drugs to his doctor and not running the prescription he was given by MLB. This would have generated a therapeutic use exemption which would have prevented this situation. Hope that other players learn from what happened to Manny. And Smitty, you have a monster sack calling anyone from Boston a cheater after the Yankees' history.

Radio sports talk in Boston has people speculating that Manny's dreads are long to cover up his massive 'roid head and the baggy uniform to cover up weight gain.
I speculate that both are to cover up that he's all A-Hole from the neck down. (No, not A-Rod, A-Hole!)
This guy has been a pox on baseball for a long time. "Manny being Manny" is a polite way to say he's a jerk.

'Yaz did it on cabbage and kielbasa, I'd cringe every time I saw Manny clowning around on the same hallowed ground. Good ridden to bad garbage. :fu2 to you Manny.

There is no reliable test for HGH and the best one they have is a blood test and no Union in professional sports will ever agree to a blood test ;)
