Let me preface this by saying I have never tried a pipe, but have always enjoyed the aroma of pipe smoke. I see a few cigars that are made with pipe tobacco - what's the skinny on them? Is it just a gimmick? Do they smoke as usual with a pipe flavor?

I have tried a bunch of different ones. The problem seems to be that they dont have quite the good things about either pipe baccy or cigars when you put them together. The blackstone vanillas are actually pretty good and can be had cheap from places like wal-mart.The middleton ones are not horrible, but all of these are about like a cigarette.Nothing beats a real pipe or an actual cigar though,in my opinion.

That's pretty much what I figured - and I am no fan of flavored cigars anyway. Thanks!

I like to keep my pipe tobacco tastes and my cigar tastes separate. Never thought about combining the two. There are just so many unique flavors in a pipe that I don't want in a cigar. And either way I definitely don't want any aromatics, Yukkkk:pu

Do they make quality pipe tobacco cigars? All I have seen are the Hav-a-Tampa type pipe tobacco cigars sold at convenience stores.

Tinder Box carries some that are OK. I think they are called Wilshire.

Acid cigars come to mind.

I have some Nording cigars that were supposedly based on their pipe tobacco blends. New out of the box I'd say that they were average. I need to try them again after ~1 year.
