The CAO MX 2 has an oily, dark chocolate colored wrapper, tiny veins ,is a firm and heavy weight 6 x 60 Gordo size, well rolled with a medium draw .The pre light shows a wonderful taste and aroma of spicy, mature tobacco,a nice texture and pleasant feel.At light up it produces instant spice and cedar aromas,a broad, rich and even tobacco taste,a very full palate. The 1st third produces flavors of cocoa, fine leather and ginger,a very even burn,a compelling flavor and richness. The 2nd third gives hints of dark chocolate, tasty oakey notes,a smooth chewy taste, and aromas of cinnamon ,brown sugar and cedar, nicely harmonious, well balanced. The final third builds up and shows a big and intense character, with earthy ,rooty notes, and stays good to the point where I have to put it down.I liked every thing about this cigar, the appearance, construction, the flavors and aromas, all were totally enjoyable.CAO can be proud of this cigar, it was excellent in all respects. The burn was perfect, the cigar was full and flavorful, but not too strong, very rich and satisfying.Allow at least an hour plus to enjoy this wonderful Gordo cigar . I rate it 7.5 out of 10 strength and 18.5 of 20 overall.......

I must have gotten a bad one? I found the draw very tight and really had to work it. the burn was funkey but did not require a touch up.
About half way the wrapper blew up I could see it coming, I think because it was packed so tight?
The stick started with a peppery flavor, and then switched over to a tobacco flavor.
After it blew up it went to the bushes, to bad I was looking forward to a good smoke for my Sunday afternoon walk.

I have not had the larger of this ine but I have had the daggers and they are a solid, quick smoke. I am not really a fan of CAO cigars but I will make an exception for this line. Thanks for the review I guess I will have to try the bigger ones now.

Thanks for the review, I enjoy most of the sticks that CAO puts out... Looking forward to trying one of these. I recently got into smoking about a year ago and so far found the darker more full body cigars extremely enjoyable to my palate. If you have any suggestions please let me know.

I just had my first Dagger, it was great. I hope they taste as good as the daggers in a larger format?
