Made a pot roast. Never again will I use round roast. It was tender, but really stringy, and just wanted to fall apart into strings instead of slicing. And was not digging how dryit was. I had to whip up a quick gravy to make it palatable. Just a half stick of butter, some chopped onion (used the caramelized ones from the bottom of the crock), a couple cups ofthe liquid from the crock, a teaspoon of beef granules, and enough flour to thicken it. Gravy actually turned out pretty good.
Chuck roast is my favorite, but for some stupid reason it's 4.59/lb right now

Are you making it in the crock pot? Try using 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup and the onions. About 3/4 of a can of water. Throw in some onion soup mix. Makes a very nice gravy with it.

Had a rack of ribs from a restaurant for the first time in awhile. Usually am disappointed as I always feel like I can smoke a great rack of ribs at home, so it's hard to justify paying $20-30 for ribs that I may not enjoy as much as mine.
So I got them tonight and they were good except there was about a gallon of BBQ sauce on them. GREAT seasoned fries with them though....
