I joined AOL and used the user name ABneon. AB for my name and neon because I drove a dodge neon back then.

A few years later I started playing Everquest and changed it to ABneo. Then the Mattrix came out and I love that movie so I started using Kneo!.

petewho
10-17-2008, 01:25 PM
Pete Who?

It was either my first two-way pager or my first automated voicemail system for personal use... Anyhow, it was something that when setting it up, it prompted me, "Please record your first name at the tone"... "Pete"... "Please record your last name at the tone"... Not wanting all callers to know my last name, and not knowing what to say when faced with the beep, I said "Who?"

Well, then all my friends that contacted me got something along the lines of, "Please leave a message for Pete Who? at the tone"... Thusly I became known as Pete Who?

Who?

When I had to pick a name for my fantasy baseball team, I decided that since I was a Reds fan, and since there is a candy known as "Redhots" I'd switch that name(in those days the Reds were not as frigid as they are currently!)around and figured this was a name that likely was not taken. Yup, but good thing there is an "s" at the end!

Ted-Rawd-jurs-SEE-PEE-AY

In a former life, I was a CPA.

I've since left public practice and spend all of my time in an Ivory Tower. I'm a Ph.D now, but adopted the screen name TedRodgersCPA from the old AOL days... I do use Ted Rodgers PhD on full tilt poker, but tedrodgerscpa everywhere else.

And, the further I go into the south, the more syllables my first name picks up... Tey-yud, tey-ya-yud, tey-ye-ya-yu-yud, etc...

Mister Moo
10-18-2008, 07:56 PM
I was Mister Maduroo* (muh-DUR-eww) in honor of Mister McGoo and my maduro preference for the longest time. The old avatar captured my nature well.

* http://i35.tinypic.com/34hvw9g.gif

Having gone pipe (in favor of cigars) I reinvented myself with the abbreviated Mister "Moo". The name dissolves the implied maduro limitation inherent in the prior name and suggests, correctly, I graduated from Michigan State.

I made this user name when I had my Honda S2000 and signed up to the S2Ki.com forums. I had a Honda VFR motorcycle prior to the S2000. The S is the closest a car can come to being like a bike IMO and it had Vtec like the bike, so it became my 4WheelVFR.:)
