Is there any software that any of you are using to keep track of your collection... or maybe just an Excel Spreadsheet??

Just an excel spreadsheet for me... I used to keep track of single and boxes.... but now its just boxes and only CCs. Basically I use it to track boxes for aging and to keep a list of what I don't have and want/need! :r:D

Check out the software by one of our members, KenS, if you have an iphone or itouch.

I had a computer software before (can't remember what it was) but found it a pain to keep the inventory up to date. Nice idea but gets old quick when you have to update the count every time you smoke/give away a stick.

I keep a spreadsheet. But it does become a chore to keep up with every purchase.

There's a program called Cigar Briefcase that does that, although I've never tried it. So far for me it's been paper and pencil.

I used to use an excel spreadsheet. But I'm in and out of the humidors and tupperdors a few times a day, so it became a little too tedious for me. I generally have a good idea of what I have. That's good enough for me. Every now and then I dig something awesome up that I forgot about and it's like christmas!

as i am not a big fan of reinventing the wheel when someone else has already done it better, if anyone wants to send me a copy of an excel spreadsheet program i would appreciate it....pm me, it can either be blank or filled in and i can erase...

thanks

I use to use an excel spread sheet, but now I just use Mobile Stogie, since I always have my phone out when I'm smoking because I use Tasting Notes for my reviews keeping inventory on my iPhone was just so so much more convinient (sp?)

Keep track? What a novel idea. :r

I've have a fairly good idea of what's in the cabinet, but knowing exactly what's in there would take a lot of the fun away. ;)

I have FAR more cigars than I could possibly keep an accurate count of. It would take me a good day's work to inventory all of it. Ergo, most of my inventory in in my head, and when I can't find what I'm looking for, I know it's time to restock.

I'm often wrong, but I don't see any problem with finding a three year old box of PAM's in the back of my vino :)

Yup, Mine is in my head.. at least until I get a bigger cabinet, then maybe I will keep track of sealed boxes with a spreadsheet.. I go through so many different ones so quickly, I'd be constantly changing my software.
