I know everyone has one....or at least I assume they do. It's that one cigar that you can count on every single time you light one up. I was just curious what everyone falls back on when they [I][U]need[U][I] a great smoke.

For me, I can always rely on the CAO MX2. I know CAO isn't generally considered a top teir maker, but this cigar has never let me down. I've smoked around 70 of these cigars over the past three years I'd guess. They have all been great.

So anyway, just curious what you guys all fell back on.

For all the Punch smokers already here, is there one particular one that you go to again and again? I haven't tried many Punch, so I'd like to find one good one.

A Gran Habano #5 blend or an old Felipe Gregorio original blue label robusto. The world just seems right when I smoke one of these two.:ss

Tatuaje Unicos. Never had a bad one for construction, and they taste great. That said, I gave one to a friend at a football tailgate, and his exploded. I was shocked. The wrappe just opened right up.

I blame him.

Just the standard ol Punch Rothschild or Rare Corojo Rothschild. They aren't mind blowing but they satisfy every time.

I'll run off the assumption that we're talking CC punchs here. I'm going to have to look into them I suppose. I have my promotion gift to myself coming up and I'm looking for a CC pick up to celebrate.

I would be mistaken. The Rare Corojo is in fact not a CC.

Yeah, neither of those Punch's are. This is the All cigar discussion, not Habanos. Regardless though, I find the non-cuban Punch to be my old faithful vs any other cigar CC or NC.

Now we've added a twist that I can dig. I always love a double maddie (thus the MX2). This punch may have to be given a whirl.

Tatuaje Noellas have always given me the flavor and quality I crave. It's closely followed by Oliva V Belicoso's which are always consistent.

My thought is,"we are in a pretty good place in time as far as NC cigars are concerned".
Faithful cigars are many imo...
AF 858
AF SG's(many more AF)
Padron...period.
have not had a bad...
DPG's
illusione
Punch Rare Corojo
Cabaiguan
601
Ashton VSG's
and the list goes on.
Whatever cigar mood I'm in,I know exactly how each if these will taste and perform.

There are a lot of cigars that don't are good EVERYTIME I smoke them. There are also cigars that only dissapoint me sometimes... Its all a toss up, since tobacco is a variable product.
