Their site is moving at a snails pace and I am trying to order 4 boxes for my wedding cigar bar before the taxes kick in! Grrrr...

Sitting here at the B&M all day there has been a lot of cash and carry traffic especially with the roll your own customers.

I would imagine :(

If I used the stuff I think I would have bough a truck load.

I smoke a pipe and stocked up on 4 pounds of the daily stuff.

I know the increase is not much but hey I'm going to smoke it, have the place to store it and the funds so I did my part to stimulate the economy. Oh yea and then there are the 2 vinos and a cooler full of cigars :hf

I can imagine the rush. I did my stocking up last week. As much as I could justify. I've had to resist all day, because, well....IT'S THE LAST DAY!

Just made my last order before schip. Cooler and vino should be fully stocked now. And yes, CI is very slow atm.

Kinda surprised I didn't get beaucoup emails from places today, but maybe they figured they didn't need to seeing as D-Day was 1 day away!

Their website is slow because they are busy increasing their prices. Bastards

My understanding was that companies had to have their tax increases applied by tomorrow. Most of the places by me have already increased their prices for a few weeks now. On CI they even say they are going to try to swallow most of the tax anyway. So what's the rush?

WOW. CI is ungodly slow right now...

Not to hijack or beat a dead horse but when this all started I thought it was on the "wholesale level"?

So wouldn't the new tax only apply to cigars they buy after midnight tonight?

Just curious

Chas

Never mind I just went back and looked it up

I placed an order with them this morning and it was a little sluggish even then, but nothing like it is now.

I'd like to register a complaint against CI -I sat down with their latest catalog and looked through it to see that the price of the Gurkha Sherpa went form 40.00 a bundle to 50.00 a bundle... WTF???

I could really care less if CI is slow or not. Purchased a box of Padilla Habanas earlier in the month, a good boatload of my favorite Taboo's from Rob last week, and a bundle of Connies 5x54's from JR's a couple of days ago with no problems on their web site:ss
