Back when I use to drink them - I use to pay homage to the Coke gods.

Nothing like an almost frozen Coke in a glass (no plastic, metal, etc) - a few large ice cubes on the bottom, crushed ice on the top - man on man - cool, crisp, dark and bubbly. - :D

Sadly - no more sugar or caffeine for me - out of everything it's the one thing I miss the most. But when I'm laying on my death bed - there better be a hot looking nurse with a case of Coke - :ss

Coke from the old green glass bottles. Brings back memories of when I worked for my Uncle Ronnie running his route with him during the summer when I was 13-15. I drink soda maybe twice a year now, back then it was 4-5 bottles per day of the stuff

I vote for Coke, if it will do all this it can't be bad.

Clean dirty pennies.

Clean a toilet - Pour a can of Coke in the toilet bowl, let sit for an hour, then flush.

Remove rust spots from chrome car bumpers - Dip rumpled aluminum foil in Coke and rub the bumper.

Clean car battery terminals - pour a can of Coke over the terminals and watch the Coke bubble away the corrosion

Diet Pepsi or regular Pepsi in the glass bottle only. I guess this is what happens when you grow-up having a Pepsi bottling company in your home town.

On a side note, does anyone remember Pepsi Light/Lite (can not remember which spelling) --> Pepsi flavoring, a lot of sugar, and a touch of lemon?

Can't believe it's leaning so far on the coke side. I read a study that showed more older folks (upper 30's) choose Coke over Pepsi. There must be quite a few old foggies on this board! :D

I live in the south, you get Coke. That's it, no matter what. If you ask for a soda, or a pop you will get Coke. Heck even if you ask for a Pepsi, you get a Coke. If you don't want a coke you get sweet tea and by sweet I mean you have to drink some Coke to rinse the sweet flavor out of your mouth. The only place there is more Coke than in the south is Hollywood, and that stuff burns your nose not your throat. So, I vote coke.

GKitty

I'm a Coke fan. Always have been, always will be.

That being said, I've recently started drinking Dr. Pepper for the lower acid. I realized that if Coke can take rust of a bumper, I should probably limit how much I put in my body. I have noticed a reduction in heartburn since the switch.

That is interesting considering you are in GA (Home of Coke). I wonder if they give you a huge kickback b/c they want to take some business away from Coke which is huge in the South.

Coke has a sweeter taste, Pepsi is just a bland cola-ish flavor to me.

I also like my R.C; Royal Crown Cola - "Best By Taste Test!" as my buddy Roy Acuff used to say on his radio program...er, R.C's radio program ;)

I also wish I could find it in glass bottles around here for cheap - all we get is cans. I like anything coming out of a glass bottle, it just tastes fresher and colder somehow.

Kegan

*And as elderboy2 points out, Coke is big in the South, although I've always heard 'R.C Cola and a Moon Pie;' what's up with that combo? But I do tend to follow the Southern roots in most anything I do, like a lot of my speech, writing localities for my stories, and my musical tastes. As they said in the Kornfield, "Saaaa-lute!"

Yes, I am in fact bored tonight :)*
